Quite right too, anyone who doesn't agree should be ashamed of themselves:

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Apparently.

This is a nice thing for the young and very, very unfortunate boy, but really goal of the months etc should be for actual goals scored in matches.

I should imagine the very, very fortunate Mkhitaryan doesn't give a damn about sharing the prestigious goal of the month with the very, very unfortunate boy.

It was a nice gesture...though as mkhitaryan was offside his shouldn't be counted at all.

It was counted in the game, and will count in all other records, but shouldn't count in some frivolous popularity contest?

Makes sense.

Since it wasn't given as offside, why continue with this line of thought?
It was a perfectly acceptable goal.

Will it be 'perfectly acceptable' next time one of Man Utd's opponents score an offside goal against them?

Somehow it's not acceptable that they haven't been given more penalties.

In the game it was given as a goal and that cannot be changed...though it was shown to be offside.....everyone knows it was offside, how can a knowingly offside goal be given as goal of the month it just makes a mockery of the award.

You cannot change the decision on the pitch, but you shouldn't award something that you know was an incorrect decision.
