I don't think Glenda will be staying. She's got nothing to stay for.

Neither do I. Without the sisters Glenda is redundant and the actor that plays Danny is utterly useless.

They should be holding on to the quality actors.

Glenda has got to say - she's the only blond female Mitchell Jack hasn't slept with. He's got to get the set.

Personally I would like her to say and be a real scheming bitch, trying to take over control of R & R's kids. Love Glynis Barber.

Agreed. We know from 2010-2011 Glenda loved her daughters and had kept photos, videos, drawings and their favourite toys from when they were young. So she could do an 180 degree turn here and want to over-compensate with her grandchildren for her shortcomings.

Realistically I don't think it will happen - although I think she will be around for a few episodes/weeks?

If she doesn't stay, I am quite contented as we got some kind of nice closure for Glenda on New Year's Day. Roxy turned to her mother when she was at her most desperate and low point, while Glenda shared a couple of tender moments with Ronnie.

Now Glenda is paying the ultimate price as she has to live with the guilt and regrets forever more. Seeing your two daughters on a mortuary slab must be totally horendous. People struggle losing a child, but to lose two - especially ones that you have failed along the way - must be even worse.

I think we'll see Glenda feeling guilty and taking on Matthew and Amy as some way of overcoming this, with Amy maybe returning to Jack down the line if he's still in the show. I'd love Glenda to stay but I can't see it happening and it would be a nice turnout for her character to take control and care for Matthew and Amy.

I could imagine that is how they are initially going to keep Glenda around for a bit. Someone needs to protect Amy and particularly Matthew's inheritence and if either Roxy or Ronnie has not stipulated otherwise, that someone is Glenda & Charlie for Matthew and Glenda & Jack for Amy.

If Jack hadn't of married Ronnie then that house would of gone to Amy and Matthew - the proceeds from a sale being put into trust until they turn 18. However as Jack did marry Ronnie, that house is now legally Amy and Jack's as Ronnie won't of had time to make a fresh will. So poor little Matthew could end up with nothing here if Jack so wished.

Probate would normally take into consideration any dependents Ronnie and Roxy left behind as well any widowed spouses. The whole thing gets mirky as Jack is Amy's Dad but was married to Ronnie.

Jack has no rights to Matthew so Glenda could just walk off with him now if she chose - until Charlie can be contacted to make a decision.

I imagine Matthew will go to Charlie and they will either create a story where they bring Charlie back and Jack heartbreakingly hands him over. Or if they can't bring Charlie back, they will probably hand him over off-screen?

One way or another I am fully expecting Matthew to go to Charlie or his mother or leave when Glenda does. I will be surprised if they keep Matthew on as such young children get in the way of storytelling and are usually got rid of at the earliest opportunity if there is no mother.

I love the divisiveness of her character, something I didn't really appreciate until she left first time around. Some brilliant scenes with her and the other Mitchells:

""This one 'ere......she's been telling so many stories it's like Jackanory round 'ere"

"Fantasy Island more like"

Special mention goes to Ronnie's description of Roxy: "Some people like a bike, some people are one"

G;ynis Barber was great as Glenda, I felt so sorry for her, can't imagine losing both your daughters in such an awful way.
