The worst: all of it. 2016 was the year TV gave up trying.

Best - Ethel and Ernest
![]() Worst - Call the Midwife - ok it wasn't terrible, but to me it felt out of place, CTM belongs in Poplar and it would have been a good opportunity for them to remember Sister Evangelina with it being the first Christmas without her and so on. I guess not 'Worst' as such, but 'Most Disappointing' really. |

I certainly found plenty of excellent programmes to watch on BBC1 / BBC2 / BBC4. |

Explain how, I have yet to see anything mentioned as being on Netfix that appeals to me.

Best- Revolting Rhymes - pure family entertainment for kids and grown ups .
Witness for the prosecution- it had me gripped. Peter Pan goes wrong - had me in stiches, again perfect for Christmas. Worst-citizen Khan and still open all hours- I just don't find these shows funny |

Ethel and Ernest
The windsors xmas speciak were main highlights I was disappointed in Last tango in halifax and granchester. The writing for Tango was dreadful. And granchester is turning more and more turning into a soap opera and allowing the murders they are solving to just be a side piece. |

Best: The Windsors (pleased to see so much love for it!), Call The Midwife (thought it was brilliant), and Frozen (seen it before but perfect Christmas afternoon viewing)
Worst: ITV showing all the Harry Potter films on consecutive days was just lazy I thought, and showing at least one post-watershed was baffling! |
