I like Phelan and the actor that plays him is very good and let's face it he is the only one that's getting Corrie any awards at the moment !!
He is a good actor, but it doesn't make the storyline any less bloody repetitive. Just like the rest of the show.

I don't think so. Eileen would have a fit if she new about it. So it can lead up to a moment like on Emmerdale when Moira saw Ross for the first time and realized he was her nephew.
I don't think the situation would ever arise. There's no way Eileen could find her in that huge mansion. I think they shot the movie The Shining in Eileens. In a way I think she would be happy to see her, she might be able to kick in something to cover the heating bill.

LMAO!!!

You are probably right, but on the plus side Billy can use Grimshaw Manor as halfway house for troubled thieves and drug addicts and Eileen will be none the wiser.

Why Dave??? Just Why?? Why do you continue with these wind up posts? I've read numerous posts of yours on the Phelan subject and I know (or at least I hope I'm right) that you're just on a massive wind up. What do you get out of winding people up so much? I know you're a wind up merchant and yet every time I read one of your posts it sends my blood pressure soaring.
Your requests are reasonable to me. I saw how it was affecting you and have written no more on the subject that was upsetting you. It was always with politeness to me when you answered my posts. Unfortunately some posters make personal remarks against others on the subject that are not taken lightly. If your polite requests were followed by some I think it would have ceased. If you'll allow me to speak on your behalf I would ask that this Phelan subject be fazed out slowly but surely. Let's not see it as throwing in the towel or censorship, let's see it as doing the right thing. It's quite clear and obvious it's affecting Donnas health and welfare. It's not worth it. Thanks in advance.

Maybe you need to Just relax and not take it so seriously, it would be somewhat condescending of me to say it's only fictional, but there is not a lot else that can be said.

.......Said Donna65 while Dave held a sawn off shot gun to her head to force her to log on to DS and post on his King Phelan thread.

Come on Kirk, if you can read between the lines the cost is too high. At least think about it.

I do get the impression that those who accuse others of doing the winding up are in fact doing the winding up themselves maybe.

I hate to say it Mark, but if Eileen was the wiser she still would still be none the wiser. Make what you will of that. 😀

You're right there. But I honestly believe there is a genuine one who isn't. And I thank you and Kirk for your courtesy to me. Neither of you jumped down my neck.

I know it is Dave, I know. But I genuinely can't get inside the head of someone who likes to post things just to wind others up.

😁 😁 😁 You're right but i was half right so we'll both take some credit. What a great day on the forum. We're throwing compliments around and at each other like manhole covers. Isn't this a day for all the world. If only North Korea and Iceland could get along like you and I we would all sleep easier in our beds.

I quite like the Phelan character , but his recent actions swindling practically the whole street, blackmailing another street character and now stealing from a third is becoming a bit boring and more than a little OTT. I hope it won't be long before he gets his just deserts.

All I am doing is having a bit of fun with a fictional character in a fictional soap nothing more nothing less, am I not allowed to do that?

Right. So Phelan is apparently now a "boring" character with recycled plots.

What, unlike Kirk, Sean, Maria, Sawphie, Alya, Tracy, Fizz, Tyrone, Michelle etc...

We're allowed to do anything we like Dave. But some times we do what we think is right. I can go out right now to protest something I don't like. In my protest I can burn the flag. I'm allowed by law to do it, but I won't. Does that make any sense?

I just think that some people are taking a bit of fun about a fictional character way too seriously.

Still doesn't change the fact it is repetitive and he has ridiculous amount of plot armour. Oh yeah and the lack of follow up to him and Vinny scamming the street.

I think I've said all I can on this. I gave it my best shot. You and everyone else gave me a more than fair hearing and I thank you for that. I'm even more thankful for the courtesy and respect I was given.

But the point is she still chose to do it, when she didn't actually need to.
Heaven only knows what the script writers were thinking when they came up with this nasty scenario. I absolutely loathed it - as only a female can.
Limited maybe, but she still had a choice and she made the wrong choice.
And why did the script writers write it that way? Beyond sick.

Yes, he is in far too many plot lines, but IF the script writers are intending a big showdown where all his sins will be laid bare - great, unfortunately Corrie writers do not allow great endings - in fact no endings ever seem to materialise.
All I am doing is having a bit of fun with a fictional character in a fictional soap nothing more nothing less, am I not allowed to do that?
Well winding up fellow posters is not really the intention of this forum. Let's discuss the characters & storylines in a more interesting & relevant manner.

I'm surprised at you James. Your posts are the biggest wind ups on this thread.

My posts are usually fun comments. It's not done to get anybody wound up. Most posters seem to realize that. But sometimes if someone takes it wrong and gets nasty I'm more than willing to return it. If I think a post is nonsense I'll express that opinion and argue why I think so. But one thing I won't do is post on a subject or say anything to someone that is obviously distressed by it. Some are fragile and their wishes should be respected. Mental and physical wellbeing comes before any posts, funny or serious or any other kind.
