The serial drama performance could be difficult

It will probably go the professional tear shedder Danny Miller.

Really, no John Middleton?

That sucks. The really good ones never get the recognition.

Oh well, Mr Middleton, I think you're brilliant. Have my award.

I agree, down to John Middleton obviously not being a fan favourite pretty boy/girl I suspect.

Yeah that category could go any way. I think EastEnders may snatch best serial drama

Not likely is it? EastEnders have put up the voting details on their facebook page yet the vast majority have replied saying they are voting for Emmerdale, and thats supposed to be an EastEnders fanpage! lol

As much as I enjoyed Jack P Shepherd's performance during Kylie's death, I decided to go with Natalie J Robb instead. Not only was she amazing during Holly's death, I also feel she's a bit underrated as an actress hence this is my way of showing my appreciation for her performance.

Not really a fan of any of the newcomers to be honest but decided to go with Tilly Keeper anyway and even then I'm not that much of a fan.

As for Soaps let's be honest it's always going to be either Corrie or Eastenders to win hence for this reason alone I voted for Emmerdale to give it some love!

Emmerdale won best soap at the soap awards this year! (i think it was their first time)
I would say its between Emmerdale and Corrie if anything. Hollyoaks and EastEnders not a cat in hells chance!

Did they? That's nice.

I missed the Soap Awards this year (well, technically last year now) so didn't know but good on them! About time they won.

They're based on public votes but agree with you that John Middleton should've got the nomination too. I know this sounds harsh but to be honest I think he deserves the nomination much more than Danny Miller (sorry Danny Miller fans).

And although I can't stand Phil, I however can not deny Steve McFadden is indeed a good actor.

We get another nom for snotty, teary Danny Miller and John Middleton is ignored. Boggles the mind. Also think Gillian Kearny should have had some kind of recognition.

Surprised no John Middleton or Steve Mcfadden . Voted Lacey Turner. Tilly Keeper and Eastenders.

No John Middleton is like a huge oscar favourite being excluded from a nomination. No wonder soaps are not that respected. The three best actors/actresses this past year - John Middleton, Gilian Kearney and Steve McFadden are not even in the list.

Crazy isn't it. Unfortunately I think they're going for the Robron fan vote Plus JM isn't young and 'hot' which is what a lot of youngsters go for, as opposed to decent acting.

I know, I've got to say I am surprised he hasn't made the shortlist - or disappointed, not really surprised, Danny Miller was always going to make it.

I've voted Natalie anyway, since I think she is the strongest performer out of those shortlisted and I think she's been overlooked before.
Hopefully John Middleton gets another look in the soap awards later in the year - or even the NTA's next year.

Yes, I only went on to vote at all because of Natalie. Tbh I think it's all about timing. I think whenever these long/short lists come out they know very well that many many people will just vote for whomever they thought was good that week, possibly 2 weeks ago if they're lucky. As you say, I think John Middleton will definitely be nommed somewhere later in the year.

I've spent the afternoon fashioning him the cyrilandshirley award, out of paper mache. He'd better be grateful.
