I think that even the my least favourite of film genres have some exceptions to the rule. I'm no fan of war films, but things like All Quiet on the Western Front, Downfall, Paths of Glory, Ice Cold in Alex and a few others are some of my favourite films. Musicals aren't my cup of tea, but then again, Cabaret (arguably not a musical) and Singing in the Rain go against that grain. Westerns tend to make me drop off to sleep, unless they're the Sergio Leone versions, High Noon, Lonely are the Brave, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and a few others. Superhero films aren't that super for me, but then again I do like Watchmen and the original Batman films (Adam West), and also the recent Batman films aren't that bad. So, I can't say that there's any genre that I can't watch some of the time.

Musicals and films based on ballets I find them all incredibly tedious.
Modern super hero films. Its such a lazy move on from comics and computer games. Fantasy and adventure films like The Hobbit, Narnia Chronicles , Harry Potter etc and the Game of Thrones never ending saga. To be forced to sit in a cinema and watch all that crp would be my idea of hell. |

I'm not in the least interested in Harry Potter either, it seems the Xmas tv schedules are pretty much wall to wall HP films these days unfortunately 😐

Sci fi
Supernatural Most action films I've watched the odd one of all of these but I will usually avoid if I see they're in this genre. |

Can't say any genre doesn't interest me. I just love films, will watch anything and wouldn't want to limit myself by dismissing a genre.

I call them "camcorder things", but I think the proper name is "found footage" I've no idea why people like them, they bore me to death and seem to permeate the horror genre like a boil that needs lancing. Stupid concept, and full of grainy pretend home-made stuff. Ugh!
Not into "teen" stuff either but then I'm 38 so I guess that's not surprising! This "teen" Stuff is even worse if it's a "camcorder thing". |

I've never gotten into horror films. I, personally, don't enjoy scaring the life out of myself, but I see why others might. It's just not for me tbh.

Sci-Fi, Romcom, comedy, fantasy. Very rarely does a film come out that's good enough to tempt me into forking out nearly £11 at the cinema. The last one was The Revenant, which was worth every penny, but most of the stuff coming out of Hollywood is dire, and I wouldn't go to see it even if somebody paid for me.

War. I can think of at least one or two examples of excellently entertaining flicks from any other genre, but I cannot manage watching a war film all the way through. Not that I've tried many times.
Also not keen on anything with a weak plot only in place to allow maximum amount of choreographed fight scenes / driving really fast / things blowing up / all of the above. I don't mind horror but rarely choose to watch them, because it's difficult to tell which ones are going to be worth the time since I'm quite picky about what I like. I love a good horror if it's told cleverly and has a good story, something actually disturbing instead of just jumpy. Psychological horror goes down better than crazy axe murderers jumping out of wardrobes. |

I love muscals, but cannot stand musical westerns. I also hate zombie films. I love comics, but most superhero films a formulaic. Not fused about sci-fi, either........

Don't like War films, biopics of famous people, true event films (most of.), romantic comedies, musicals apart from Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment, most westerns, most action films.
I do like most cartoons, comedies, fantasy, sci fi, super hero and horror. The only horror I don't like are the shot on camera such as Blair Witch or Paranormal Activity type ones. These bore me. |

Another one for sci-fi, zombie, fantasy and comic book/superheroes.
Some westerns I love, like Dances with wolves, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Good, Bad and the Ugly etc. I love a good gangster, war, period, good comedies are very few and far between, as are horrors. |
