What's being famous got to do with someone being utterly ridiculous?

I've always been glad that I am not famous. I cannot imagine anything worse.
I value my personal privacy above most things and find the pursuit of fame to be utterly baffling. |

What if they change the actor who plays Ben Mitchell yet again?

I value my personal privacy above most things and find the pursuit of fame to be utterly baffling. Unfortunately one by-product of that success is the intrusion into their lives. Take, as a random example, Ryan Gosling. I've just looked online and there are papped photos of him filling his car with petrol and attending his mother's graduation in Canada, for example! Why would that even be of interest to anybody? I think that, as much as what they do is for consumption for the public and obviously that entails courting some publicity for their craft, they should be entitled to a modicum of privacy at some point in their day when doing ordinary things like going to the supermarket. I've said it before, though - I wonder what came first. The demand by the public to know more, or the media being more intrusive leading people to wanting to know more? |

Single and unemployed. Can't imagine why.
Gay too, apparently. That's important information that is. No house valuation though, disappointingly. |

![]() Now, now, ladies of a certain age all scream at once! ![]() ![]() Mind you, I had a Donny Osmond cushion and I also had Starsky and Hutch all over my wall at one point, as well as one of the Mexican sweaters that Starsky used to wear all the time, although mine was from Mexico (well, his may have been too). |

Has anyone saw a paparazzi video on YouTube? Sometimes you see the pictures in the newspapers and think of it as harmless or even just mildly annoying but it's actually very uncomfortable sometimes seeing dozens of men crowding round celebrities and taking constant pictures and following them down streets and into airports etc.
When you remember that they get that every single day no matter where they go (plus get mobbed by fans at the same time as this) and it definitely puts you off the idea of fame. Imagine even just feeling a bit rubbish or having a headache and going outside to have people screaming your name, grabbing you, flashing cameras in your face and obstructing your journey? No way. |
