This was a good episode tonight - seeing the key storylines from each point of view. Scott Maslen has shone in this. The typical reactions, his expressions when dealing with ID'ing the bodies and his blame for Roxy which would be natural as he has lost his wife. I found it heartbreaking when speaking to Amy and the other children - it's a natural reaction and explaining death to children under 10 is very hard indeed. I think Max and Sharon are good supports for him. Glynis Barber played a good part when it came to the ID of the bodies - natural reaction for a mother who has a lot a child. I do hope Glenda can have a bit more of a role in this as she's an interesting character. Their whole worlds turned upside down. Honey's reaction breaking down was very real as well - she had a good little friendship with Ronnie, and I echo that Emma Barton has knocked it out of the park. I think Dona should have known as Rox was her friend, and glad she had that chance to find out. It's been interesting seeing it from all sides and we're seeing the ante upped.
I am glad Lee finally told Whitney about the job and money etc. It's something that has to be looked at with both sides - Whitney has had a life of poverty, and this was her chance to have good things and Lee was worried she wouldn't love him for the job hence his depression. Think there is a fair narrow minded people on here who don't know how depression works. One day you've got all...the next bottom of the pile. Nothing lasts forever. My other concern is what has Mick done - was a genuine injury from the barrells and scraped his knuckles or has he battered the crap out of Oz? Babe - mistress manipulator, but I do think deep down there is a genuine soul. I am surprised she hasn't decided to play a part by blackmailing Oz or is this is going to lead to her exist? Twelth Night looks interesting. I think we'll have a brief breakfast war with Kathy and Babe.
Michelle and Stacey do not see eye to eye - I do think this has added strain onto their marriage - does make you wonder why Michelle is back. Do we even know?
9/10 episode.
Oh and last thing, anyone who thinks SOC is bad - don't watch. The show is back to it's roots and we're seeing storylines from all viewpoints. All characters run out of a shelf life, and I do wish myself R+R had a better ending, but this is what was decided and in one way we've seen how a death effects the whole community, especially those who were close and knew the sisters. Seeing it from different slants makes it more real and engaging. I applaud the man. I think the beef is with the BBC, not SOC.
