I'm sure those three people will make the BBC sack the best producer in years immediately. Ridiculous!

or don't watch.

That's what I am doing. I rarely watch EE these days and now that Ronnie is dead I don't see any point continuing. So I won't. The show will go on no matter what fans think.

Well I doubt it'll be successful as it has only 3 likes on that Facebook page.

Funnily enough there was no petition started for Pam, Les or paul who also lost their jobs

Bringing back Derek was a good move. He slotted back in seamlessly and, with the current shortage of older characters, I wouldn't mind seeing him back full-time.

Hilarious!

Indeed. Very rare for a character to fit in so naturally so quickly. He needs to be at least recurring.

I agree with your statement. I feel sorry for the actors who lost their jobs but the producers shoudn't be afraid to axe characters in case of negative comments. We need new characters, in my opinion. Killing off R and R is controversial but they had an explosive and memorable exit and it'll be remembered for many years.

What a load of tripe. He is not the first producer to kill off so called iconoclastic characters, he's not the first to bring back so called 'pointless' characters at least Derek was back for a story line and not just one episode which DTC seemed fond of and he is not the first to recast a character. SOC is doing a fantastic job as EPISODE.

People will make a petition up for anything these days. I actually like the fact he killed off Ronnie and Roxy. It was better they went off with a bang rather than sending them off to Ongar.
I also enjoyed Derek coming back. He slotted in nicely and as another poster stated, it was nice to have another older character.
Yes, SOC isn't perfect (I wish he hadn't got rid of Pam and Les), but what he is doing is a breath of fresh air. I like the fact things seem more real and less sensationalist.

Do grow up! As if they'd take any notice of a silly Facebook petition!

At the end of the day, he's the producer FFS and he's every right to make these kind of decisions, whether they be popular with the majority of viewers or not.

Yes, like many others I'm gutted about Ronnie and Roxy leaving permanently, but the fact is it's done, and even though it may still piss me off years later like it does about Tiffany, it's done with and no petition will change that

I dont like SOC. He makes the show more boring than ever before giving two popular characters a random freak accident death.

I prefer his style - characterisation scenes are essential and he can provide drama, eg: Lee's suicide attempt, the robbery, R and R's death.

I've started a petition to get the boss of Classical FM sacked.

I never listen to it but I don't really like Chopin's later work so I have no choice.
