He seems like a class act, I hope he doesn't turn out to be a cock.
He won't. He's perhaps the only truly class act in there. He's also a good friend of James Whale and I wonder if he had a chat about it with him and was persuaded to give it a go after The Whale appeared last time.

Has it ever occurred to you all that as he's a professional actor with 50 years experience of acting in various role as assorted characters, maybe we will not see the real him, but an act.

He's actually a genuine friendly guy, so I presume we will see that.

I actually disagree. Already on feed you can tell on first nights whether someone will be lonely. He was hanging with Ray J and Callum all night.

He's got amazing and interesting stories, they were lapping up his game of thrones talk.

i hope he'll enjoy his time i really do. I would absolutely gravitate towards the more mature housemates and listen to their stories.

He needs to win, he's a thoroughly decent fella, met him as well.
Still to watch in full, staying with my friend who is a free church of Scotland member and the cussing from the first housemates made him turn off. James Cosmo is in the house? I am delighted and surprised he went in. How will James and James Jordan get on?

I hope he gets on well in there, but I'm not going to hope he can win just because he appeared in a series I don't watch for 2 years. If he's a good housemate, I hope he wins, if he isn't, then I don't

I can't believe they managed to get someone from Game of Thrones!
Well, he isn't in it any more, that may be why

Is he well known? I have never seen him before.
No he's not well-known by stardom standards, he's a jobbing supporting actor, lots of roles over a very long career, appeared in many famous films but not a 'name'. I remember when he appeared on BOTS last year, most people said 'who?'.

He is the biggest WTF for a long time - In the last year, his movie and TV roles are unbelievable! why the hell is he doing BB?
£££

A decent chap with a decent/good career, he doesn't stand a chance, but I hope I'm wrong.
It depends upon whether he's entertaining really, same with any of them. Their career - any of theirs - shouldn't be the reason any of them wins. The show should be all that matters, being a good housemate. Just as Stacey's religion shouldn't matter (other thread).

Are you serious???
A lot of people have never heard of him, a lot of people have never heard of lots of actors. It's like Mark Rylance - an extremely successful career mostly in theatre, but many who don't attend the theatre didn't know who he was until Wolf Hall and Bridge of Spies.

I am still in shock that he's actually there! I'm still not over him being killed at Crasters Keep

He seems a lovely man, I saw him on that GoT aftershow presented by Sue Perkins in the last series and he was ever so gentle and engaging. I really hope he doesn't turn out to be a let down. He's my early winner anyway.

The amount of tax will still only be a fraction of his income. You don't get a nice big pay check followed by an even bigger tax bill, such that you have to find more work in order to pay the tax man. And since he's been working busily, most recently on Game of Thrones, I doubt very much that he's brassic.

He looks like the guy who does the RBS adverts here in Scotland. Does anyone know if it is him, if you've seen the ad?

His complete CV is enormous: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0181920/ Note several shows that haven't been released yet. On BBC2 a few days ago in a repeat of Stag.

The 'producers' have edited out James Cosmo next but he wasn't faced telling Stacey they were now part of an exclusive club. Good on ya Cosmo!

I still can't believe James Cosmo is in there .

I mean I know years ago they used to have proper actors , but it's obviously now just another gig for the RTV merry-go-round idiots and has been for several years .

.
