IIRC, on the first episodes of Corrie and Crossroads shown after the strike, they did a recap of what had happened in the previous episodes, I vaguely remember in Crossroads there was something about Benny buying a gift for someone?

I remember it. Lasted for weeks in late summer/autumn of 1979. The first night back featured Coronation Street and 321!

I was one of the folks on strike and what I remember most is the huge relief when it was finally settled.
I'm hugely impressed that some posters actually recall some of the programmes transmitted on the night of it's return to normal.
