Her single limps in at 149 in the chart .

They shouldn't really be encouraging her

I think they're trying to make her a 'people's champion' or something. Make it feel like she's the choice of the public and 'one of our own' even though she's someone who's been pushed onto us as if we ought to warm to her.

It's not that different to reality show stars who they push, who tend to be 'normal' because they're sort of working class and thick. The sort of person they provide for us to support.

We're supposed to find people like this endearing.

It would be nice if they promoted somebody who was working class but who was also intelligent and talented rather than insist on lowering the general standards.
Why do you think they keep pushing that monkey Joe Swash at us?

Nothing against Honey G at all, but its their idea of providing a star for us to support which is patronising to everyone.

The whole thing just reminded me of Peter Kay. TXF meets CBB singing. Then just to add a little bit of spice CBB meets MIC meets SCD meets IAC on the panel and then back full circle to TXF meets CBB presenting.

Embarrassing.

People like Rylan keep helping and pushing these type of acts as they can personally relate to what it's like having zero talent for something..but have the tenacity to relentlessly go on banging doors...

Honey G's rapping talent seems less developed than that of a torpid dormouse.

Rylan must be getting a backhander from Cowell to feature all these rejects.

It sounds like she has one of those agents that can get people like her on most platforms, they will be active aslong as they can. I know a few people who dont watch X factor who still know of her because of the way they are pushing her on every platform possible.

It's like making average people without talent into celebrities has become a charity cause nowadays.

How unfair it is that all these poor people without any talent can't become celebrities too. Come on general public, let's get behind them and make it happen for them. All the talent they need is that they have to want it enough. Please phone this number to help.

I just couldn't believe that a) the judges even put her through past the first round of X Factor and b) that the public kept keeping her in for so long!

If anybody's to blame, blame the public who paid to vote for her ever week and keep her on the show!

Does Rylan choose the acts for BBBOTS? I doubt it.

The public are not to blame for bbots getting her on the show though, are they?

She's just grim and creepy, but was probably booked to sing that song weeks ago before she tanked in the charts.

Aww thanks. That's very kind of you. I wasn't expecting that. It made my day.

Like I say, nothing against Honey G as a person. She's quite probably a lovely lady. I wish her all the best from life. It's the patronising cynical machine behind her and people like her which I'm critical of. They think they can second-guess the public and control our behaviour after they've made their plans for how to make money from the situation.

There used to be a time when on The X Factor people used to vote for a crap performer as a protest vote thinking they'll show Cowell who's boss. The only thing it served to achieve was to inform them how to react next time around, and so they created a controlled 'protest' vote beforehand every year since then up until and including now. They play their fans like a fiddle.
Perhaps I shouldn't be talking about The X Factor though as it's veering off topic away from CBB.

The whole show (SOTS) is a joke really. It'd be weird if they had any serious musicians on there. Honey G seems about the right sort of level to me. Rock bottom.

I find everything about Honey G and the attempts to promote her as a star totally embarrassing.
For one thing she's useless. For a novelty act and a character, she is lacking in any sort of personality, humility, charm or warmth. She seems devoid of humour and seems to rake herself very seriously.
The fake enthusiasm from Cowell and his minions with the OTT praise and standing ovations every time she shouts her name is beyond ridiculous.
Years ago, she'd have been laughed off stage and escorted out of the audition room. We'd have only seen her again on the 'worst of' show.
Nowadays it's sunk so low that we're expected to accept her as a star and blindly follow the dark lords instructions to take her to our hearts.

Ironic thing is nearly all the so called celebs in the UK these days are talentless, maybe we need to reverse it again and get behind the talented again.
