The World's Most Extraordinary Homes : BBC 2 : 9.00pm : Friday
A "heads up" for those to whom it might appeal.
"Award-winning architect Piers Taylor and actress and property enthusiast Caroline Quentin explore extraordinary homes built in mountain, forest, coast and underground locations around the world." Piers Taylor effectively told us this morning in a magazine programme that in pre-production it was decided it needed dumbing down for a typical BBC audience, so Caroline Quentin was added to the presentation team. For me, a good enough reason not to bother watching it. |

I'm old enough to remember when she used to be an actress!
More cheap property porn by the sounds of it. |

Piers Taylor struck me as a personable and articulate communicator, who could have managed to keep me interested.
He struck me as the sort of person who wouldn't be inclined to get over-excited or be reduced to shouting, or indulging in behaviour which could be described as attention seeking. Sadly, those "failings" were obviously the reason why it was considered he needed "help" presenting a peak-time programme on BBC2. |
