Okay - I fell for the Facebook clickbait (Scanguard nonsense), but what does this key combination actually do? It doesn't appear anywhere on the official list.

I'm guessing it runs the (free) Scamguard scan, which will find imaginary problems. Then you have to buy the full version to 'fix' your pc. Pound to a penny the detected 'problems' are leftover registry entries.

I couldn't think how it could do that if I hadn't already installed it. I'm quite sure it doesn't do anything that CCleaner doesn't do anyway.

Part of the scam seems to be creating fake 'computer expert' websites saying how good Scanguard is.

I'm also a bit p***ed off that the main UK online newspapers are carrying the Scanguard ads - you assume that if it's advertised in the Telegraph etc it must be OK.

The graphics of Scanguard are reminiscent of 90's fake anti-malware progs > threat level SEVERE in garish colors etc - a bit like this one from back in the day

It may well be just a made up key combination for the clickbait.
