Will they stop all programs? Would they interrupt Masterchef AND Paul O'Grady Loves Dogs?

Do the newsreaders have Zippy costumes on stand by?

I think we can all be assured that all broadcasters will show due reverence and solemnity when such a sad time comes.

Normally I'd accuse you of trolling, but you have 10,000+ posts and have been posting on here for 11 years!
Are you drunk?

Sick of 'When the Queen dies' threads I should think.

When Zippy dies reinstate the BBC 'ballet dancers' ident for a week, like they did for the Queen Mum.

I believe interviews with Freddy and George have already been filmed in preparation for the sad day.

Surely when the Queen dies Zippy is next in line for the throne.

In a sense he's already dead as both actors who did his voice, Peter Hawkins and Roy Skelton have died

I just hope they don't ask inappropriate questions about the deathbed scene.

When Zippy dies the scenes of grown adults weeping openly and breaking down on national TV will be wholly justified.

I would hope...no demand that all TV is cancelled for 6 months and the country go into official, mandatory mourning as is only fitting for such a beloved national treasure.

As Zippy is a yellow, annoying creature with an annoying voice all they need to do is sew a zip on Donald Trump's lips,no-one will notice the difference. I am sure he would appreciate being on a show called "Rainbow".

I've still not over the callous way the sad and untimely death of Muffin The Mule was completely ignored by all the broadcasters.

When I think about he service he gave to this country it grieves me to think his passing was totally unmarked.

'Bring out zippy.'

'Zippy's sleeping'

'You'll have to wake him up'.

I'll be campaigning for a 40ft. statue of Zippy along the proposed route of HS2 just outside Wakefield.

Hordes of mourners can then have a permanent memorial to this icon of tomfoolery. The inevitable outpouring of grief and excess tears may cause localised flooding, but it's a small price to pay.

Geoffrey Hayes could lead a special service in an archdruid costume on Summer Solstice.

**** Stonehenge, this is where it's at.

Commuters and future generations would ask 'Why is there a statue of a giant phallus in that field' whilst noshing on Sausage butties at 200mph.

Poignant doesn't begin to describe the scene & I think it's taxpayers money well spent.

How Muffin the Mule died was never properly investigated. There were rumours he met an untimely end at the hands of an evil carpenter with a sanding block and a Dremel multi (in a low budget reboot of Reservoir Dogs), but much like the dead mule it'd never stand up in a court of law (brmm, tish!)

Hmmm definitely not the BBCs finest hour. The less said the better.
