I saw a light in the sky last night it was bright and moving a bit it was there for maybe five minutes then it just disappeared,
I was looking online and the only thing I could find in London (where I live) about lights in the sky last night was this but it didn't look like the moon or Venus or Mars . I feel like Im going mad tbh.Do you live in a trailer park ? Are you incredibly fat, have one tooth and chew gum ? Did you wake up with a sore bottom ? There might be more to this than meets the eye.................

A couple of nights ago, at around 7pm, Venus was brighter than I've ever seen it before. It was so bright that at first I thought it had to be a police helicopter with its search light on but it gradually faded as the night wore on. It appeared at about a 5pm position to the Moon.

When we talk about angles most people would say 5o'clock.
It was at night though, so you'd be forgiven for thinking of it as 5pm.

Venus has always been one of the most common misperceptions of a UFO. We have had thousands of such cases over the years. It has even fooled fighter jet pilots who have tried to engage it in action!
Right now with its closeness to us and spectacular clear, frosty nights it is about as magnificent a sight as you can see in the sky without a telescope or binoculars and it is inevitably catching many people who hardly ever look upwards quite unawares. But as a UFO investigator I have no doubt this is a very definite IFO. Though it is not actually flying as such. |

I love hearing about 'unusual' sightings. I'm in the London area, I'm going to make a point of looking out for anything this evening.

They pass us, and at times go over our building, but generally the path is from Lingfield, which we can see from the side window. When it crosses our road you can just make out the plane's body, and if low enough you can get good photos
![]() However, when they are in the stacks (in this case south to southeast of Crowborough) they are often turning so the lights come and go and the movement of the aircraft is not so apparent when it is coming almost straight towards you and about 20 miles away. But even at that sort of distance they are very visible on a clear night. It would be much the same with the four stacks positioned around the edges of London (Lambourne, Bovingdon, Ockham and Biggin) which serve Heathrow. |

Could you account for the whole evening and night or did it seems like there was a couple of hours missing ?

I assumed this was one of those threads where you post the next rhymimg line like:
"But I'd had a few drinks and I wasn't quite right" or, "But I quickly lost interest as I needed a shite" or, ............. Quote:

I see you all are taking this thread seriously
![]() ![]() Anyway I definitely see something maybe it was a satellite who knows.. It was in the middle of the night as I'd got out of bed for some reason and looked out of the window But no mention of it anywhere ............. even in the middle of the night there are thousands of people out and about in London. I assumed it would be the main story on the news the next day but zilch ! I still maintain I saw it though ! |
