Seems it was Stacey who had the hump, i haven,t seen speidi do anything wrong. Spencer seemed to be making sure she was ok
I actually thought she was rude and defensive in her response to both of them - particularly as on the producers VT they clearly showed Speidi and Austin saying not to edit her out. I think they initially felt a bit of an affinity with her because she's American but in taking out her irritation on Spencer outside - and later on picking a fight with Heidi - she has just made herself a target for them instead. That's when he started making up the 'rules' to wind her up and openly admitted they were going to push her buttons. Stacey picked a fight and then pleaded the victim when she got a reaction. I also found a similar change of tack when she realised her "sharing a bed with a gay boy" comments were actually coming across as distaste...and then pleaded the victim that no one understood her humour. I imagine she's one of those people who has a great deal of 'unwanted' drama in her life...most of it self-inflicted. I love a house diva normally but unfortunately Stacey lacks the wit and charm to send herself up. It's a crucial quality for someone to be truly fabulous.

Agreed. I know Speidi can be nasty characters but when he initially approached her outside, he was being nice, told her not to take it seriously as it's just a game show and that they'll all be punished at some point so try not to be upset...he even offered her his coat because she said she was cold and asked her to let him know if she needed anything. Heidi then collected up all the blankets to make sure Stacey was warm and comfortable enough outside.

Spencer did all he could to wind her up and alienate her that I'm not surprised she flipped.
I thought she was dense for misunderstanding his intentions but it appears the loads of people somehow managed to get the wrong impression . |

Spencer admitted that he was deliberately winding her up: http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/celebri...stacy-francis/
He clearly dislikes her now as she turned on him when he was trying to make her feel better about the situation .. |

Can't say i blame him after the way she turned on him, he did start out making sure she was ok, offering her his jacket, fetching blankets for her etc.

What did he do?
Utterly brutal and truly reprehensible behaviour within the context of a celebrity game show, I'm sure you'll agree... Personally, I find Stacy's whole demeanour horrible. She's like a one-woman negative wave...I imagine she'd be quite draining to be around. I'm Team Speidi on this one - and that's saying something LOL!

What his made up rules
![]() i actually think he interpreted it that way as he is a known reality star and a twist has to have some consequences, and he did start off being nice to her but changed as her attitude to him became more arsey. |

They were made up rules, but at the same time, what does edited out of the show mean, if everyone is talking to her and she is part of the show as normal. So as there were no specific rules given, it could be interpreted that the house aren't allowed to interact with her, otherwise being edited out of the show translates to wearing a beige tracksuit and i don't think the big "wearing a beige tracksuit on launch night" twist will be one of the iconic launch night twists!

He was only talking to her because he knew the cameras would be on her as she was in the unique situation of being the 'edited out' housemate, and he wanted a bit of camera time himself. She rightly saw through his fakery and was having none of it.

It's not as simple as that. By saying that nobody was allowed to talk to her, it would make Stacy feel isolated. She was already feeling down after being the first to be "edited out" and would surely want to talk to her fellow HMs and get to know them. Hearing him say that nobody was allowed to talk to her would stop her from doing this, and make her feel down. It's not that he was "playing a game". It's the whole context of it.
She very clearly DIDN'T want to talk to anyone as she rudely brushed off any initial attempts made by the HMs, accompanied by irritated eye-rolling and muttering under her breath as they walked away. And this was even before Spencer started telling the others they weren't allowed to speak to her. Even when James C got 'edited out' and sat right next to her, she didn't even bother to acknowledge him properly - let alone strike up a conversation with him. I think she was having a sulky tantrum that Ray-J hadn't begged forgiveness upon first seeing her - and then being put out in the garden meant she'd have to wait to have it out with him. She pretty much admitted it in the DR...and then followed it up by saying that she'd have chosen to dump him out in the garden to put him in his place for 'betraying' her. She's a full-grown woman having a toddler-esque sulk and, in my opinion, Spencer treated her behaviour with the contempt it deserved. It wouldn't surprise me if her prickly behavour continues until she clears the air with Ray-J about his alleged betrayal. A grudge is a powerful thing...

No, sorry. It really is as simple as that. It's Day 1 of a TV game show, in a fully kitted out studio house and she is being well paid for the privilege of taking part. This is not real life. She also saw that the producers were put on the spot to pick someone (which they then struggled to do) to edit out. Nobody bad-mouthed her or said she deserved to be excluded for any particular reason. She even admitted she'd been quiet when she came in so could understand why she was chosen.

I think feeling upset at hearing that she had been picked after only being in the house for a short time is understandable. And not only that, she wasn't allowed to properly meet the others and join in with the party, AND she had to sacrifice all her belongings. It's not a particularly nice way to be welcomed into the house.Quote:

Well, if that is the case, that doesn't make him treating her behaviour with contempt acceptable. Two wrongs don't make a right.

If you think a grown adult woman (a mother, no less) acting like a pouting, sulky toddler isn't contemptible behaviour then we'll just have to agree to disagree.![]() She's a Hollywood drama queen who wanted to control the mood of the room and lower it to match hers, and he took that control off of her by saying people *couldn't* speak to her due to 'the rules'. Obviously he had his own motive but by removing everyones' attention from her actually gave her less opportunity to ruin everyone else's launch night. Personally, I'd have totally ignored her and let her sulk rather than involving everyone else but that's why Speidi are pantomime villains in a TV game show and I'm not...
