Estranged from Parents/Siblings & applying for a 1st UK Passport
Just doing the on-line passport application & there's a lot of questions about my parents & grandparents that I simply don't know. Like their DOB when they married their passport numbers etc
Being as I'm from a rather fragmented & dysfunctional family I have absolutely no way of obtaining this info. All I know is their names, occupations & erm that's about it! Anyone else is a similar situation managed to get a passport without a problem? I've never had a passport before. |

Those questions are to check that you're a UK citizen. You are able to apply for their birth certificates and send those off with your application.

If you read this site thoroughly you will know what to do
https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-adult...for-a-passport However of you don't want to do that you can either a) phone the passport helpline Telephone: 0300 222 0000 Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, 9am to 5:30pm or b) use the online enquiry form https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/out...Enquiries.ofml |
