I don't know if anyone can shed any light on this but my good friend and I are trying to find out the name of a to programme. The only thing my friend remembers about it was a dark haired woman who was cross eyed and used to say "oh Bernard " to another character 😂😂. My friend thinks it was on around teatime, early evening, 1980s.
Any ideas? 😀😀😆

Could it be one of the Arthur Mullard / Queenie Watts shows? Yus, My Dear or maybe Romany Jones? It doesn't exactly fit your description but for some reason they sprang to mind.

I was thinking maybe something Paula Wilcox was in because she always looked a bit cross eyed.

Wouldn't teatime in the 80s be children's TV?

I'm thinking of Four Weddings and A Funeral. There's a wedding of Bernard and Lydia and she's a bit boggled eyed and she said "oh Bernard ' a bit.

That wouldn't really have been on around teatime in the early evening in the 1980s, though...

David Jason's character in "Lucky Feller" is Bernard 'Shorty' Mepstead.
