Hearing this via an 'unofficial radio forum that have a good history of inside info from the station.

Not at all surprised if it is true as he's recently joined BT Sport. Whenever I tune in these days its always Dev standing in!

I would be surprised and sad if he does.

On a off chance guess, Capital fm might be going national in 6+ months. Greg is pals with Ashley, Have we just found out new capital breakfast show host?

According to an insider yes Capital might be going national in 6 months time, and he could be the new Capital breakfast presenter.

And Greg genuinely seems a music fan so would get very bored at Capital.

Greg is presenting Australian cricket through the night on BT which usually finishes anything between 7 and 10am UK time, including the highlights show... Depending on timezone. So no chance.

You'd have to have something wrong with you to go from Radio 1 to bloody Capital FM!

Unless you are wanting a good pay packet and are able to negotiate it.

Not that I can see Greg leaving Radio 1 for Capital. He would have a better post-Radio 1 career path if he stayed there until he’s moved on, particularly if he does want to develop a career in sports broadcasting.

If true R1 need to get their arse in to gear and recruit some new young talent otherwise I fear their days are numbered. The whole station needs a shake up in my opinion. Time for new management.

Anyone that works in radio sees the BBC as the top, it's as good as it gets. I just can't see Greg James leaving the BBC to work for Global.

That's not what happened with Moyles. He would have stayed at the BBC if he could have.
