How long would it take for the winnings to be in my bank account if I had won the National Lottery?

When it's a small prize it goes in straight away. Not sure about large prizes.

It depends on the level of the prize and whether you have an online account with them. If you play online then some of the lower level prizes get paid to your online account with Camelot and not your bank account.

Others get paid to your bank account or may be paid by cheque, so in that case it is however long your and Camelot's banks take to clear the cheque.

If you win a top prize then Camelot can choose cheque or bank transfer. But I suspect the biggest wait will be for Camelot to process your claim.

Make a claim and its immediate. There is no waiting. Jackpot normally takesa bout 48 hours for obvious security checks

When I've won a small amount it usually takes a couple of days to go into my account.

I pay lotto by direct debit and do everything online.

If I win cash on Saturday night (which is not often since the thieving bastards changed it to 49 numbers!) I get an email notification on Sunday morning and the cash is transferred automatically to my current account.

It always appears in my account on the following Thursday,…never sooner. I suspect Camelot hang on to the money for as long as they can.

I don’t like Camelot very much.

I won £1150 on the Euro Lottery once and received a cheque however had to go pick it up in person. They wouldn't send it in the post.

It bought me a new 3 seater sofa!
