there's a satisfaction in watching it all burn.

Just choose a day that's not too windy, get a good fire going first and then just gradually keep putting it all on bag or box at a time. It's far better than to just pile it all up and trying to burn in one go - funny that paper is not that easy to burn when it's all packed together, you'll be forever raking it to get rid of all the unburned stuff.

When I helped my parents sort stuff out in their loft years ago I remember having similar amounts of stuff to get rid off and I have to admit to taking it all to work and burned it all in our waste incinerator we had at the time.

Put everything into a big old pile / box in or near the kitchen, do a couple sheets a week / while you wait for something to come to the boil etc..
cut out any info like name / address / dob - cut that up into a waste bin finely using scissors, put the rest in recycling.

Would take ages to do but free and easy...

yes, I rip it up and put it in bucket of water for a couple of days, squeeze the water out and mix with ordinary kitchen rubbish over some days - depending on how much there is

Anything with name and address / account no etc. is of cut out separately beforehand, and disposed of via a bowl of water

Never thought of adding bleach, excellent idea, shall do that next time, thanks for the tip
