If it discourages other people standing too close to you in the queue for the till that has to be a good thing.

When I go to Tesco's I concentrate on shopping, and pay no attention to what people are wearing. Some people have far too much time on their hands. Complaining about peoples' attire is just petty really

So, you wouldn't be troubled by the sight of a man strolling round the chilled section of the store, wearing just his underpants that he wore in bed the night before?

I might just come out of the shower, put a towel around me and pop up to Tescos later.

Hopefully it won't drop when I'm reaching for a cucumber.

I really can't see the problem if I'm honest. I've seen people walking round Tesco in shorts and sandals with no top on in the summer, so I don't see how someone walking round in full PJs and a dressing gown is worse than that.

Oh and I totally walk the dog in my pyjamas after a certain time of night. No way am I getting dressed at 3am in the morning when that arsehole decides he needs a piss. I just slip my dressing gown on over my t-shirt and PJ bottoms, put my trainers on and take him up to the park.

I really don't wanna go all Hyacinth Bucket but i have to admit i go into snob mode whenever i see people doing this.

I just find it distasteful.
I agree. I won't even go out of my front door in the jogger type comfy trousers and slippers I wear in the house. I change into proper trousers and shoes even if I am only going out to the bin. Although I do live in a flat so the bin is a rather longer and more public journey than a few feet outside my own front door.

Outraged enough to take pictures of strangers shopping in their pajamas and demanding dress codes to shops.
Who's taking photos of the shoppers?

Well if it's the chilled section, there would most likely be much 'activity' lacking in the underpants department He's not likely to dawdle either if it's chilly. The likelihood is I'd probably check out the bod, and either admire or not, and then select my fish fingers and be on my way

If they just wished to complain about it, there'd be no point anyway, as it would be on the store's CCTV, both inside and outside the premises. Might need the time and date though.

I'd definitely draw the line there, as I think most people would be put off by that sight. Not so sure about PJ's and/or dressing gowns though. I reckon the majority might think that a tad controlling.

During the hot weather last year, there was a huge fat hairy man, wandering round ASDA topless. Not a pretty sight, I can tell you.

Just to even things up, there was a huge woman in a cropped top at the same store. An equally unpleasant experience.

To be honest, anyone who chooses to go shopping in their pyjamas is attention-seeking, so they're probably quite happy if someone else tales photos of them.

I think it is Tesco themselves who impose a dress code and I see no reason why they shouldn't if they don't want people slopping around their stores in dressing gowns and slippers.
That maybe true of your reasons for doing something. But im sure not everyone does things for attention.

People do things for many reasons. I know a year ago or so it was fashionable so i'm told so maybe it still is for some or some behind the times or some don't give a shite what anyone thinks and just cant be bothered to get dressed or that is how they do dress when not going anywhere important.

There's a daily mail article of a man taking a picture of women wearing their pajamas to Tesco with a complaint.

Some people walk around in the same pyjamas they were asleep in for the whole night & go shopping in them. I find that rank. They don't have to wear a full ballgown & tiara but just look decent. There's enough Primarks & Matalans around to buy an outfit from.
How do you know that?

I know one person who does their shopping in a flimsy dressing and *nothing* underneath!

(claims to have a skin allergy)

Where on earth do you live. I have never even seen this phenomenon and yet you see it everywhere. Either you spend way to much time watching other people or you are making this up or you live in a place that I cannot even imagine.
The real world is where I live. Glasgow. There's no need to "watch" other people when they are all around. And no need to make up things that are commonplace either.

You sound like me.

Funny enough I am one of those people who are always smiling at strangers or chat to the check out person and always get smiles and chat in return and yet ask me what they were wearing and I would not have a clue
