- Bring back Mathew Rose as an entrepreneur. He buys the old R&R club and opens it up as a revamped E20. He recruits Jay as his right hand man
Vincent isn't happy as this will effect business at the Albert. Mathew is a changed man, hardened and now a bit of a bad boy himself (Steve Owen taught him well)
A war of words leads Mathew to arrange an arson attack on The Albert, Jay is responsible for the Death of Kim who is in the Albert When a gas explosion hits.

- Meanwhile Janine Butcher is back and along with her new husband is buying up the properties on Albert Square. Something keeps bringing her back to the Square.

- When the Carters have serious financial issues Janine steps up and buys half of the lease on the pub, with the condition that Linda stays as landlady but Janine can appoint a bar manager as well.

- She offers the position to Sharon

- On Christmas Day, Janine wanders around the Square reminiscing. Stacey finds her in the gardens and the two women have a heart to heart. Janine has cervical Cancer. She wanted to come back to where she grew up and has spent the last few weeks making Albert square into a place she remembers. She reveals she has refused treatment, but stacey encourages her to have the treatment.

- A professional couple Marc and Jane move onto the square and soon start heating up E20. There open marriage leads Ben into a confusing relationship with Marc whilst Jane begins wooing Tina. Ben cannot deal with Marcs lack of commitment and he jealously attacks Jane in the street. She has no idea who the culprit is but the attack inadvertently leads to Marc and Jane getting closer.

- Its the End of an Era in Albert Square as Dot Branning passes away peacefully at home. Abi is back living with Max and believing Dot has gone away for a few weeks, nobody bothers to check the house and her body lies undiscovered for several weeks.

He is not.

I always thought Janine would one day finally take over the vic, its as if it is fate.
However she is definitely not coming back under this lame 'i want all characters to be as dull and one dimensional as possible' producer.

There really should be a sub forum for all these fan-fiction threads.

They're not fan fiction they are suggestions to help this thoroughly useless producer out

I don't think Janine should return for at least another 5 years and she would never share the Vic. They could use the cancer thing if she ever does return tho. I think the show is doing fine at the moment and we have enough going on.

The thread title does not make sense.

In your opinion, a lot of people think his doing just fine.

Charlie Brooks has already stated she doesn't want to come back and is trying to drop the Janine stereotype.

You think what you came up with was better? Says everything really. But the thing that surprised me most, as someone who seems to be about caring for the show, is killing Dot off and leaving her body to rot alone for weeks? Bit disrespectful to the character and to June really, isn't it? Come on, give it up - Sean O'Connor's doing a really good job.

If you think what you wrote is better than SOC then I don't think he's at risk of losing his job to you anytime soon.

Janine should never get the Vic. There are two characters that always wanted it but never got it, and they were Ian and Janine.

You clearly aren't up to the job either...

This is fan fiction and should definitely be somewhere else.

And that's why he just delivered the highest rating EE has had for a year.

Your threads are intensely annoying.

This rating was to do with one thing and one thing only, the attention over R&R's deaths. How on EARTH can anybody think its anything to do with his quality of work??? Further proving these 2 girls are a real draw for the show.
If the show has that rating again next week, I will eat my words.

But the reason that story is getting that kind of attention is because he axed them? So, call me crazy, but you could say that is down to him...

Don't you worry i will still have my eye on the forum!

Ofcourse its down to him, along with the BBC for axing the sisters in the first place! it was only one episode, when it starts ratings 7mil+ consistently then get back to me. I have a feeling it aint ever going to happen
I honestly believe EastEnders is on its way to becoming a cult show.

1. Viewing figures are down across the board.
2. If you look at the dailies plus catch up ratings too, I think you'll find the show is in line with the other soaps in that respect. I rarely watch the show live nowadays because I'm so busy. I catch up later like most. Nearly 8 million for their exit was who watched it live, not in total.

So the only episode they weren't in got the highest ratings because they're popular...colour me confused.😕

So you think you are more qualified and better than Soc at his job? given your only experience is writing not very good fan fiction and Soc has years of experience in the job?

Do you really think he would keep getting gainful employment as a producer if he was no good at it?

Maybe you could put the fan fiction in the games room where it belongs and leave the advice giving to the appropriately qualified folks
