It's definitely on the up.
Really? So far the only fall out from their big festive storyline is Jack announcing he's still going to Ongar.

They were making it up. Bobby wasn't the original killer, it was supposed to be Jane but it got changed fairly late on. In fact, wasn't Bobby the third choice? Hadn't they considered Cindy as well? I can't remember. But yes, everything was finely planned until the live week and after that it almost seemed a case of "didn't we do well, what a shocker, aren't we brilliant for making it Bobby, now what else can we get away with, this is gonna be so much fun..." Everything from then on started becoming more like fan fiction with Gavin, Kathy, Claudette and all the rewriting of history etc
Not true. DTC did an interview where he said originally it was going to be someone else but before any scripts were written they changed it to Bobby, which was the idea of Alex Lamb. I remember him saying very clearly it had been planned from the off.

I don't hate it but it's incredibly dull. This is not helped by the fact everything is happening off screen. Even Roxy's death was offscreen!

I have the same sort of feelings, I don't hate it, but it just seems so hollow and lifeless, almost like its on a slow road to nowhere!
I am pretty annoyed and angry at the whole R&R thing, I thought they needed a rest, but now i do not even think they need that! I think the writers were really onto something with Roxy's drug problem and that could have continued onwards.
People keep saying to give the producer time, but how much time?
And I was just on Facebook and the EastEnders page posted a picture of that Shakik. I presume he's featuring heavily tonight then with that awful Bex storyline. Think i will give that one a miss!

I'm sure this is a major concern for the people of Ongar.

Shakil and Bex are dreadful. I've had more fun staring at the walls in the doctor's waiting room than watching that crap.

My issue with the Mitchell Sisters is that together they just kept going round in circles. I was bored with it years ago. Roxy had already had a chance to exist without her sister for 2 years and still didn't amount to much. I do think it was time to draw a line under the sister act but Ronnie should have been spared. She was always much more interesting and could stand on her own unlike Roxy. Right now, although their exit episode was good, the aftermath has been poor and makes it seem not worthwhile to have bothered doing it.

The show is just so flat that even the deaths of two characters can't energise it.
