Feeling like having a dabble with Raspberry PI and wondered if any one has any experience of buying a cheap one from a Chinese buyer, are they identical or just a cheap unreliable rip off.

Tbh, you'd probably be much better off buying the genuine item itself - please see https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/

If it's a knock off copy then there's possibly no quality control process so it'll be a matter of luck whether the thing works.

They are cheap enough from the likes of CPC and RS and you are pretty much guaranteed to get a genuine product that I wouldn't really bother going anywhere else frankly.

As chrisjr and TelevisionUser say...

What sort of thing would you be looking to ..Dabble.. in?

Lots of projects about for it.

But most of them usually involve buying something extra towards the project, so if money is consideration!
