The case was something of a mess really. Robert Horscroft who took no part in the rape was given the longest sentence, 14 years, whilst the two who had raped Jill Seward, one was given five years for rape and five for burglary and the other, three years for rape and five for burglary.
Apparently Jill Seward met Robert Horscroft personally twelve years later in 1998. |

I have just read the story about this very sad news. Jill Swardeston was an inspiration for change and someone who used adversity to bring positivity to other 'rape victims'. My condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
