What's The Name Of That Film
Hi all.
I'm trying to find a name of a film I saw many years ago. I can't tell you who was in it or who directed it or anything like that.. All I can say is that there was a scene where the man was avoiding his call-up papers but eventually he has to go to war... At the end of the film he comes home quite a hero and can be seen, with crutches, coming along the road /track. Not to be mistaken for the film where these women are in a pow camp! It was in the late 60s I saw it and it must of been a few years old then! Black and White. Any ideas, anybody? |

Another film I'm looking for the name of is about a man who dies goes to a sort of waiting room to be tested whether he goes to heaven or not. While there he meets a woman and falls in love with her.. It ends up with both of them going on a bus! to heaven!
Any ideas, anyone? |

I think it may be Sergeant York from 1942 starring Gary Cooper. That's in answer to the first one.

I think that may be A Matter Of Life And Death from 1946 starring David Niven and Kim Hunter.

The one I saw was less of a block buster feel and I think the man had a Mediterranean accent |

The whole film is on youtube if you're interested. Although the screen size isn't that big.
