Recent episodes have seen me want to watch the show more, and instead of watching later on catch up:

I have thoroughly enjoyed:
- Emma scheming, and don't want her to be found out
- Chrissie easily falling for Lachlan's lies
- Kerry's downward spiral (plus her and Dan look to be getting back together
- Zak leaving Joanie, and hopefully getting back with Lisa
- Robron
- Ashley's dementia and the effects on the family. (if enjoy is the correct word for this story)
- Rhona/Pierce's relationship (again, if enjoy is the correct word for this story)

As this forum is usually full of negative people, I need to praise the show for keeping me interested. I have already voted for it at the NTA's later this month.

There are enough positives to keep me entertained, although I personally think it's middle of the road and has been better. Last night I had to tip my hat to Rhona/Pierce and Zak/Lisa (it helps being a fan of the Dingles I suppose) I did vote for it at the NTA's not that I care much this year, out of a poor bunch it's been just about noticeably better in places and you have to stick by your soap through thick and thin and all that

Yep, me too.

Kerry is just god awful to watch - and I say that as a viewer who has always liked her previously.
"Robron" are just vomit inducing.
Zack and Lisa I can tolerate as long as the nasty brat Belle isn't on screen.

On a more positive note, looking forward to seeing Emma getting her comeuppance. Also the Rhona and Ashley stories continuing. Would also like to see Paddy and Chas together. I like Paddy and I think he suits Chas more.

This week has put it back in it's position of my second favourite soap, with Corrie 3rd. (I watch 10)

The only ones I think are any good are Ashley's dementia, Moira's troubles and Rhona/Pierce

Kerry and the zak/Lisa shite is simply mind bogging bad

I don't like the characters or the storylines, that pretty much why.

I don't think it's s fair to label posters as negative. I for one try to give praise where I think it's due. For me, ED has been very erratic recently. The highly praised Ashley story is excellent. I loved the Moira, Cain and Emma stuff and I' m beginning to like Kerry's story now that it seems to be going somewhere and is not just comedy material.

The comedy has massively let it down, IMO. Paddy getting punched, people in silly costumes, Kerry making an a*se of herself ( something that is really quite sad, in the proper sense of the word, not funny). The dreadful Finn/ Kasim story hasn't helped.

I agree, except for Kerry. This vulgar character is bringing Emmerdale down and losing viewers from the show. If Kerry was written out, together with Tracey, the viewing figures would rise again and Emmerdale would be award-worthy.

They just cannot do comedy and I don't think they should even try. I am not negative by nature and will praise where I can and have done but the uneveness of the last few months is beginning to grate and I will continue to watch for the bits I like (Ashley, Leyla, Moira, Vanessa, Emma, Rhona) and fast forward through the bits I don't like.

Kerry has been damaged in my opinion by the recent storylines, just as I was beginning to like her but perhaps the producer is trying to right the wrongs of the splitting up of couples which happened under the previous incumbent and once that silliness is past maybe things will settle down again. It has been terribly rushed throughout but I am glad not to have Frank thrust into the foreground again.
