IR Transmitter--Emitter
First time I have tried to do this, always purchased a replacement.
Samsung TV remote, stopped working, did the usual, batteries, camera on smartphone but remote IR is not transmitting. so taken it apart, capacitor looks ok. I want to replace the emitter, where can I buy one from and is there a particular frequency/type I need to buy? |

Just an IR LED, you can buy them from RS Components - however, it's exceptionally rare for the LED to fail - unless it's physically broken. Easiest to take one out of another remote to prove if it cures it or not.
I've repaired thousands of remotes, most faults are physical damage - I don't recall ever changing an LED that wasn't physically broken?. |
