Someone who's full time job is working out seems very badly placed to give normal people with normal jobs advice on exercise.

Only last year he was in adverts for McDonald's and Nestlé promoting junk food.

Just all seems money grabbing and lacking in integrity to me.

Oh I dunno. If I follow his advice I'll be able to look good mincing around in budgie smugglers by the end of this year.

Careful, you'll have people jumping down your throat with comments like that. I'll be flogged just for laughing.

I suppose it ties in with New Year's resolutions and all that.

Yeah, anyway, I've got some chocolate and cake I have left over from Christmas and for some reason I'm just in the mood to have some with a nice cup of coffee.
I guess this has become my natural instinctive reaction now to anything a celebrity preaches to me. Just do the opposite.

I just knew the moment i saw this posted in GD that it would be a free-for-all mess of a thread with people piling on Daley.

I don't envy being a teen trying to figure out your sexuality while being under such a strong spotlight.

Nobody's said how how much older Dustin Lance Black is yet so i guess i will

These threads are always thinly veiled at best.

When do you think that's going to begin?

Well of course that's what it is. If some publisher offers you 100k to promote a fitness dvd then integrity goes out the window. I'd do the same in his shoes.
I doubt his book/dvd has anything different to the thousands of fitness product already out there. The only fools are those who buy these things. Eat less and move more is pretty much all you need to know to get healthier/fitter. Everything else is window dressing. You can find all you need on youtube. There are a ton of free workouts/recipes on there.

Well his job isn't actually working out... his job is diving. Yes, he needs to be in shape but his job isn't going to the gym. There's a lot of stuff about diving that isn't just working out!

Apparently he has actually developed the plan himself and it's what he really does follow, so good for him if people want to buy it.

Oh look, the casual homophobia has already started. I'm sure he'll really be bothered about what you say. Well, if he can hear you over his two Olympic medals and millions of pounds.

I turned on the TV for 10 minutes yesterday whilst doing some darning, he was on This Morning cooking a very nice looking, and quick, healthy meal. He explained that he'd been on an intensive 6-week cooking course when he was 16, so it's something he has always been interested in.

I've never seen him mince at all. You really do seem to care or else you wouldn't have mentioned it.

You referred to his homosexuality, I didn't mention it at all.

Hasn't he been on a celeb cooking show before?

Certainly no trousersnake going by his lil bulge.
Perhaps he's a grower not a shower?

Not even indirectly?

mince. 1. (v.) (perj.) To move or act in a way that implies homosexuality.

You have all failed spectacularly here of trying to assign something to me that I haven't said or implied. Typical though.

Can't really see much difference there.

And don't forget to click the little speaker icon on Google's definition to hear how it's pronounced.

What a surprise.

Do you think that everybody who is effeminate is gay then? Interesting.

He is very softly-spoken, with a so-called 'effeminate' inflection.

Why do people get upset if that is mentioned?
Nothing wrong with it at all.
