My wife has noticed that when her phone is asleep/locked she does not get any whatsapp/ebay/email notifications and they only come in when the phone has been woken/unlocked.

The phone is on Android 6 and she uses a proper Samsung wallet cover for it.

I have tried looking at power settings but cant seem to get this sorted for her.

Any help would be most welcome.

it sounds like same issue i had with a new tablet recently, haven't got access to tablet at moment, but it was something to do with power settings and allowing stuff to run in the background when screen is off, sorry can't be more specific at moment as not got tablet with me.

edit ..... its coming back to me it wasn't in power settings, look more in the direction of app permissions. doh it's bugging me now where it was will check when i have access to it.

Does it reconnect to wifi when woken or is it still connected?
