Does Sky+ and similar offer jog/shuttle?

I recorded Judge Judy earlier in the week, and at one point there was an unusual technical hitch with a black screen followed by one frame of an exclamation mark and some unusual shapes accompanied by an odd sound.

As I used my VCR with jog wheel on the remote - so I could look at each frame cleanly, I paused it and looked at what happened either side of the odd frame - because I am interested in such things!

Do the digital PVR's offer single frame advance back and forwards as VCR's? Just asking as I have never used one, just interested in how they work.

No frame advance on Sky+, just the basic 'pause' and 'slow mo'.

TiVo has frame advance, it's a little 'hit and miss' by all accounts, not as good as you get on tape/VCR.

On Sky+ it's so bad that I think it was designed deliberately to make it hard for people to skip ads accurately.
