Hasn't Phil gone completely? No mention of him on the website, usual story when someone is got rid of these days.

Looks like it, thought he was scheduled to be on covering Vernon this week and last but looking at the listen again on their app he's not showing. Also twitter silence from him since before xmas. When was he last on air?

I'd imagine Vernon, Tess & the kids get a decent holiday in after Christmas as Tess will have been working hard in Strictly and with her limited skills, reading and talking at the same time for an hour a week must be tiring.

I remember back in his radio1 days I did wonder once or twice whether he'd left as he took 1 or 2 lengthy breaks from the airwaves. I don't listen to Radio X all that much so I'm not sure if he takes as much time off these days, but there's a reason why Chappers jokingly referred to Vernon as 'Vernoff' once or twice when he and Dave were depping for Vern on R1.

I believe that the Radio X contracts were being signed in December according to John Good.

If Vernon had gone, you can be certain that Global would have removed all trace of him from the website. He's still there.
