So the woman who bought 2 bottles of Prosecco with a £10 benefits gift put Schofields back up and her 'Cheers' comment was incendiary!!!

Describing her decision to drink a few bubbles over Christmas with an unexpected little windfall as incendiary is surely excessive. Clearly he and no doubt some others find the idea of someone on benefits enjoying a festive tipple unpalatable and her comment provocative or inflammatory, but incendiary? Doe her really think she deliberately behaved in a manner calculated to 'stir up strife'?

The ubiquitous Schofield is a multi millionaire and as such will employ an accountant to ensure efficient tax liability (avoidance rather than evasion). Does he feel any self guilt when raising his glass of Moet, Veuve, Bollinger or similar (no Prosecco there) knowing that if every one paid their fair share of taxes our NHS would benefit, jobs would be created and there'd be less need for the unemployed to claim a miserly £10 Christmas bonus only to face outrage from the Schofields of this country if they decide to indulge in a little treat?

Yes. How dare she do something to make her life a little bit more fun at Xmas.

Pip can wind his neck in and bugger off.

I cannot stand him at all! he is so judgemental and you can tell he is a complete and utter fishwife who will gossip and bitch about everyone and everything.

His bubble will burst eventually.

Big bold Phil on his 8 million salary, bitches about a woman who was a teacher and had to give up her job. The selfish b*tche's crime buying two cheap bottles of bubbly.

He really is the most sanctimonious, pompous little twunt.
It's as though he thinks he's some hard-hitting political journalist, not a jumped up children's TV presenter who started his career with his arm up the arse end of a hamster in a broom cupboard.

He has jumped onto the whole 'anyone who claims benefits is scum' bandwagon neglecting the fact most of This Morning's audience will actually be on benefits in some shape or form. Its not all stay at home rich mums who make up his viewing figures.

I remember him giving David Cameron a list of 'Twitter names' whom he believed to be child abusers. How he has managed to get away with so much is beyond me. I agree one day he will cross a line he is unable to come back from, then his downfall will be fun to watch.

How much did the Royals spend at Christmas??

I see her current partner was in the army, isn't he a 'hero'??

People get benefits, if she chose to spend it on pick 'n mix or on heroin it makes no difference to me. As it is she thanked me as a taxpayer for the 'gift' and I'm more than happy to toast her good health in return.

I notice she is a writer, just like that J K Rowlings is;, she was on benefits to iirc

Almost, but not quite, as bad as Piers Morgan

I don't think Scofield was the one actually fisting Gordon, but he did get sucked off by him on a regular basis. Allegedly.

Exactly. Doesn't he realise most of his viewers are probably unemployed?

It is features like this on This Morning that make it clear why the likes of The Sun and The Daily Express' Twitter feeds feature the show so much. Relatively insignificant stuff for people to get OUTRAGED by. I often wonder whether ITV and the papers have an official arrangement behind the scenes (without wanting to sound too David Icke) as Loose Women is the same.

In his defence he did state that he didn't have a problem with the fact that she bought what she bought, although of course it has nothing to do with him.... it was more her attitude of sticking one finger up to the taxpayers.
Whilst I am not a fan of his (hardly notice when he's on TV) I feel that he is only saying what a lot of others think about "certain" (not all) benefit claimants.
Far too many people in this country think that they have a God given right to receive benefits and to milk the system for as much as they can get.
I watched a programme on TV a while ago where a single mother on benefits was complaining that she was having difficulty making ends meet, and she couldn't afford to regularly buy pampers for her baby.
Excuse me????
Do what we did when our kids were small (and we were both working)... buy some proper terry towelling nappies and get off your fat arse and wash them. Works out a helluva lot cheaper and would have made me feel a lot better that she was doing her bit for Queen and country.

Going by your comments, your worse then Schofield. What's wrong with wanting to get pampers?

If you think being on benefits is fun, then I'd think again. It's not.

Oh man! She wanted pampers not a cruise.

My daughter does not use disposable nappies her babies wear "cloth" do you know how much they cost nowt? Do you know how much it cost to get them dry? My daughter has finally crumbled and now looking to getting a tumble dryer I was a stay at home mum and didn't have as much to do as mum's today.. Today if they don't take the children out everyday they are somehow lacking and a bad parents I would hate to be a young mum today way to much judging by others.

Pampers for goodness sake, how dare she!

I didn't for one minute suggest it was fun being on benefits. Don't read something that doesn't exist into my post.
And there is nothing wrong in wanting to get pampers. As long as you can afford them!
I want a bigger telly. But I can't afford it, so I'll make do.
It's called "cutting your cloth"
A simple adage which, by your post, you fail to comprehend.
