Together at Christmas!

Lost count of the number of TV guides I have seen in the newsagent/shops (usually the chav ones, not Radio Times) that have the above as a strapline - always with an exclamation mark - and a shot of some soap couple. Michelle and Steve from Corrie this year, last year we saw Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright, it's been the Slaters before that and the numerous partners they have all had.

So unoriginal.

The exclamation mark must be the most misused item of punctuation in journalism.

They think it makes the mundane exciting!

And uninteresting.

Why do you even look at them?

I see the covers when I am buying a paper.

I don't read or buy TV guides.

I like the TV guide headlines like "Eric Pollard murdered?" where you know the answer is always no.
