Blaze and Blaze +1
What's the point of Blaze +1 which only has an hour of programming a day, 4-5 am when Blaze is off air? Also why is Blaze off air for that one hour only?

I believe is so the owners can use that channel number at a later date if they want to launch a new channel instead of going to the back of the guide.
I can't remember the channel numbers but if Blaze and +1 are on 80 and 81 they can event use 81 for a similar channel instead of the new channel being far away on 92. UKTV have done it several times with Dave Ja Vu on 25 using that slot to keep a low EPG number available. |

Okay thanks a lot for the explanation. So is it that they have to broadcast something on Blaze +1 to keep the licence so they just go for the minimum one hour?

Yes, there are a few channels like that on Freeview broadcasting for an hour in the middle of the night just to keep hold of a slot.
