Agreed. Zak and Liseh being another example. I really fail to see what the point of splitting them up having Zak actually marry Joanie then reunite
And why can't people be single as well? All those characters in unhappy relationships, but if you're single you' re doomed to share a bed with your dad

I totally agree. I'm single myself and I am very happy with my life. Soaps depiction of single people being desperate to be in relationships is irritating. Some of us don't want to settle down ever

Are TPTB going for the record for the storyline that is dragged out the longest?

Even the diehard Coira fans are getting fed up with the length of time this has been strung out. I fear that by the time they do get back together we will all be past caring and we won't be interested anymore

Oh well, on the plus side we do have Dan and Kerry back together *insert sarcastic smiley*
BIB - I'm really pleased about that and I'm not being sarcastic. I love Dan and I like Kerry when she's with him.

I'm single too and am also happy with my life. Been married, wouldn't do it again.

I've never been married thankfully and I don't ever see myself doing it

The same could be said for Cain and Moira. They were split up so Cain could go back to Charity but it was obvious from the start that his heart wasn't in it so what was the point?

It' s all they seem able to do with the couples
Exactly. Jimmy and Nicola are another example - either keep them together or split them up for good.

I used to like them but I think he deserves better now. IMO Kerry is beyond the point of redemption but she appears to have now managed to adopt Charity's teflon qualities so she gets away with everything, I can never work out whether we are meant to be laughing along with her / at her / or feeling sorry for her?

I feel for Kerry. I think she really doesn't like herself, but I wish she would start to look after herself better and take some responsibility for her problems. Cain needs to do that as well but they don't t seem to think that makes for interesting viewing these days I' m hoping this period is a turning point for both.

The kerry diabetes diagnosis and how it's been handled is absolutely shameful aswell . Kerry would probably have died in reality as a diabetic as a result of her drinking

They do seem to be treating her diabetes as a joke.

Yes, after her near death hypo (which she recovered from in half and hour) she was in the cafe ordering a cake. I know this isn't Casualty or Holby but you would still expect some level of medical accuracy for such a serious subject. I don't understand why they bother taking such care to get the details right with Ashleys storyline yet they are so dodgy with Kerry's diabetes which only ever surfaces as a plot device,

I know it's a soap but these details should be easy to get right. They claim to want to be realistic after all

Wait until Moira finds out she is preggers and not sure who's the daddy, Cain or Pete.
Yes because god forbid anyone ever uses a condom in a soap.

And Cain deserves to die alone.

Well, for better or worse, I've just seen an interview with Jeff Hordley in the Mail in which he reckons Cain and Moira are definitely over for good and he's sad about it as he loved working so closely with Natalie J Robb.

Needless to say, Cain is gutted and of course reverts to his old nastiness.
Which is sad because I loved new Cain when he finally grew up and thought he'd got all he ever wanted, ie a stable loving family.

We know there is definitely more to come for them at the end of year but up until that time I think they will keep dangling the carrot to try to retain interest in them. I am not sure they will though, even the Mirror is reporting on how p***ed off the fans are at the length of time this storyline has been going on

I had to smile at 'even the Mirror', (whose staff apparently stayed up all night to find three "disgruntled viewers")............which seemed to imply the Mirror are the last people who would normally talk bollox about soaps they have to trawl Twitter to conjure up stories about.

As for Cain & Moira at the end of the year, I didn't know ED were already releasing sls for 12 months hence! I'm amazed they've actually thought of any beyond a fortnight on Thursday yet.

I'm just quoting Iain McLeods preview interview where he said they would have something coming up towards the end of the year that would make or break them.

I don't mind the yo-yo nature of couples like this as it's a soap. And, I like that for some characters that they have one core pairing, especially as for so many others they go through relationships at a rapid rate.

However, the only way this yo-yo works is if there are real consequences and breaks. Zak and Lisa disgusts me. In that situation, Zak was at fault. He left Lisa for another woman, and then married her, and then just expects to waltz back into the Dingle house and have everything go back to the way it has. Zak should be single for a least the next six months to a year. It's one of the reasons I like the way they've handled Paddy and Rhona. Paddy cheated and Rhona got to move on with someone else while Paddy watched.

I like Moira and Cain, and I'd like them to reunite at some point. But they've both created such a mess I think they need a break.

Never truer words spoken. And if Moira is pregnant, it better be Pete's.

I think Cain has to do that for himself, though, not just to win Moira. I hope he realises that because he's s got potential to be a decent person.

I'd say they'll get back together eventually, but it's already been revealed that Cain will start seeing someone new who you "wouldn't expect". I thought initially it would be Chrissie but after their scene in Friday's episode I'd say it'll be Bex.

Oh god no! That' ll just be all would be Sadie/ Cain antics . Let her have her little schemes with Dross or Robert or some such.

I actually thought it might be Kerry ( her and Dan will no doubt split up again next month). Two complete screw ups together, totally messing with little Kyle's s head
