Nadia was never a man. She was a woman trapped in a man's body. She has a female brain.

thats such crap. Prove to me with Science how that is even remotly possible. Your brain does not determine your sex, your genes do. And Nadia with born with an X and Y chromisone and was therefor a man. Nadia had a penis, no breasts and looked like a man....regardless how girly she was or if she wore dresses...she was a man.

Basically what your saying is that I am George Clooney coz I wish I had been born like George Clooney, wish I looked like George Clooney and like to pretend I'm George Clooney....so all I need is some surgery and I will be George Clooney?

In my own personal opinion, i don't care if she wants to be thought of as a man or a woman, either way i don't find him/her at all attractive, inside or out. She was childish in the BB house, selfish, and quite bitchy. And on the outside, she looks like a drag queen.

Male and female brains are different. Her brain tells her she's female. Genetically she is male but she is not male.

thats exactly my opinion of her...and most of the housemates last year now I think about it...which is why I hated last years show. there was no one in there who deserved to get the fame, experience or money that comes with being in the house.

Spot on.

I don't really care what anyone else thinks. Nadia knows herself more than any single one of us and if she believed she was male, then she wouldn't of went through the whole transition of becoming female.

I hate the way, no matter what aspect of Nadia the thread is about, it always turns into one about her transsexuality. I find it really sad. Can't people just look past her past and talk about Nadia the person, not Nadia the transsexual?

You sound bitter cgbrannigan (only joking)

Seriously though, the whole sex change thing is a really emotive subject, especially, I presume, to those who have gone through such a thing themselves.

I think it would be offensive, therefore, to refer to transsexuals as 'he' instead of 'she.'

Wrong.

Male to female transsexuals. (e.g. Nadia)

Female to Male transsexuals.

Correct pronoun is gender-dependent.

People are entitled to their own perspectives on things. Lots of people go around thinking they are jesus, or reincarnated famous people, etc, it's not always wise just to accept what people believe themselves to be.

You may be wrong (or right), but the law is on Nadia's side and once (if/when) the law has recognised Nadia as a woman then you will be wrong to refer to her as a man .....

The Gender Recognition Act 2004 gives transsexual people the legal right to live in their acquired gender.

I do apologise Iknowicould. I was thinking of putting in male to female transsexuals but didn't because I thought people would understand what I meant.

I'll say sorry again.

For anyone who wasn't around last year or is unclear of the position it is regarded as offensive to be posting in such a way as to say that Nadia is male.

You may have different views and you are welcome to them and are free to express them on your own site but as far as this site goes those are the rules.

Beth.

I was around last year and myself, and many many others, refered to her as He the entire series, I was also around the year before when myself, and many many others, refered to Tanya as He.

I was never made aware of this rule...perhaps it should be in the rules as it isn't right now otherwise you shouldn't really be giving people final warnings for making such comments (esspecially in jest)

Incidently, does anyone know where I can buy an inexpensive blender for making smoothies and blended coffee's?

If you were, which I doubt, you would have taken serious flak for your archaic attitude .....

Obviously, I cannot call you a liar, but I believe you may be a victim of perception and somewhat vague about the meaning of "truth" .....

If I may be of assistance - truth :

Conformity to fact or actuality.
A statement proven to be or accepted as true.
Sincerity; integrity.
Fidelity to an original or standard.

My archaic attitute? Morals and social ettiqutte is archaic now is it? God gave you what he gave you and what he didn't you dont need.

And just having a search from topics I've posted to last year and looking for probably around 5 minutes I can see four time I refered to Nadia as He and seven times other people did.

Theres also an entire topic on Cameron being boring which I find entirly offensive as he was born with brain of a boring person and shouldn't be mocked because of your archaic views that boring people are of lesser value to society than others.

why am I being inconsistant? And I'm hardly desperate as it's you who comes out calling me a lyer, me who provides evidence for my statements proving you wrong and it's hardly off topic for me to give another example of something from this forum which shows something just as stupid as what I've got a warning for.

cmon, it was made quite clear last year that certain comments are not allowed and DO fall under the DS existing rules. There was even 'sticky' post about it during BB5.

who is talking about Morals?
Nadia had an operation to correct a mistake of nature, just like lots of people have ops to correct all sorts of things, how come its a 'moral' issue?

Perhaps you should consider why you feel the need to make a statement by calling her he instead of she. Why is it so important to you keep reiterating this point? Do you have latent issues that you need to deal with that make you feel agressive about transexuality?
You seem to e getting your knickers in quite a twist about the whole affair!

I caught the end of this show last night.

Nadia was far from being my favourite HM, but I thought she looked great last night and yes, the new hair 'do' suits her very much.

Not sure I'd go as far as calling her 'sexy and hot' - but each to their own and quite right too!

She does look really good just now. Appears to have lost a load of weight too.
I agree I really like her hair like that.

Is it a special case for Nadia rule, or is there a general rule (more specific than the one about offensive posts) that subsumes it?

For instance, is it that all HMs must be referred to in their chosen gender, which would rule out the sorts of comments made about Tania and Lisa in BB4?

Or does it apply only to transsexuals?

Or only to Nadia?
