Ooo, well spotted. If Rose is red riding hood, and the 'Doctor' is the Bad Wolf. Is he the Doctor at all?

No, no, no, I was joining in with you. Rolling my eyes with you at everyone else. That's why I had the winking smileys in between the rolling eyes.

Thatwas a fantastic episode. I thought the storytelling was great. I like the way the doctor and rose split up and follow their own part of the story. Captain Jack came clean as the con man so does tha mean he is not going to be the

I think the underlying theme is corporate power in time. Had the first Marxist reference tonight. just a thought.

Just after the Doctor has answered the phone on the TARDIS he walks in front of a wall with two posters on it. It's not easy to read but it looks like the one of the left has "Bad Wolf" on it.

Money, greed and time have been the central themes running throughtout this series which was picked up on by another FM, Alrightmate who gave us a very good piece along those in lines in one of his messages a while back.

I was of course referring to Capt Jack and not your good self!

Even though he has come clean to the Doctor and Rose can he still be trusted. I don't think so as he strikes me as the kind of person who is always on the look out for the next scam or opportunity to exploit. That is after all is how he does business. He is a bit of a smooth operator which I liked..very cheeky the way he slapped that officer and told him that he had a nice bottom!

loved tonight's episode, definitely up there with the Unquiet Dead, but a heck of a lot creepier - no doubt the Daily Mail will have an apoplexy, but it serves them right.

Anyone else reckon that Jack's "nanites" might be linked to the Plague, either as cause or resolution?

Or maybe you're just old? Just a thought - had long discussions about the new Star Wars films v the old along the same lines...the grown ups desperately wanted to relive their childhoods by making it "the same" whereas the kids desperately wanted something different for themselves that gave them the same feeling...I find the inability of people to discuss and chat without absolutes ie "I hated it so it's crap" "I hated it so it's finished" "I like another show so this one's crap" on these threads absolutely staggering...anyway...Javine's on...talk about scary

I got the impression that Capn Jack brought the ship down not realising it was a hospital or 'plague ship'. He just hoped that another time traveller will see it and want to buy it (after he claimed it was a fully laiden war ship)- Really this was a dig at estate agents. I think the plague on the ship morphed into the first thing it saw:- that being the body of a boy with a gas marked molded into his face. (an accident which occured when the ship crashed) and as the plague moves from person to person, it creates the same image.

It was interesting to see CE say in Confidential that working with the children reminded him of who the series was aimed at.

Another great episode but is it just me who wishes the series was being shown in the winter months. Bright sunlight streaming into the room compleatly ruined the creepy atmosphere as well as my kids coming in and out with their friends thoughtout the program. I know, I have tried to make them watch but being girls they are at the age when boys, makeup and clothes are much more important than sad old dads TV program. Still I did get the wife to watch and she was really p*ssed of now she has to wait a week to see how the episode ends. So I have one convert in the family
