I'm working through the thread, but thanks Cj for a credible theory.

And a very interesting parallel between what Nancy was doing (in relation to the children) and what the Doctor does.

I'll wait to see if he becomes less annoying before I start hunting for those (though of course, for some fic writers his actual character won't be that relevant anyway... ).

I think we are all agreed that it was probably misheard (until a subtitled viewing confirms it) but I must admit that I thought I'd heard 'Jews' too...

I also liked the comment about being a west end musical. I mean Nancyand orphans cannot be a coincidence.

Well we know how that ended with Oliver finding himself a new home.

I think that's unfair John - I reckon that 99.9% of people who post in this thread actually back up their opinion with a reason. And it's all the better for it!

I can honestly not recall a single person who's posted a "hit-and-run comment" simply stating "it's crap" and not posted justification as to why they thought it was.

Eurovision is on or i would rewatch that bit with the subtitles on. Sorry for the delay, i took so long in pressing post a lot of people had replied already and made my point seem pretty stupid.

People voicing their feelings..good and bad is what the forum is all about. If everyone felt the same then there would be little to discuss and debate. I have found from reading and hearing others thoughts, even when I have disliked a particular episode, seeing things from a different perspective. My view has remain unchanged but it is good good to get a different take on something.

some interesting points:

imdb says mickey is in last 2 episodes. why?
and why does the doctor keep saying he's called rickey?
jackie's in the last one
and so are the daleks (last 2 eps)
anne robinson - anne droid
------------
and david tennant in the last episode with chris eccleston changed!!!
christopher eccleston = The Master
david tennant = Trapped Doctor
Mickey = ??? (maybe he's the thing on the roof in the floor 500 episode in loads more years time)
-------------
The above is my speculation
-------------
also i have a hunch that lady cassandra does return

I like this - temporal estate agents rather than temporal police.

Not the light.........argh........(sound of BG bursting into flames...it is after the watershed! lol!)

I just remember watching DW in the winter months and hearing a fellow FM mention that brought a warm nostalgic glow to my heart.

Speaking of Cassandra, and apologies if this has been brought up before, but why is she referred to as female when, in her speech, she clearly said "when i was a boy..."

Which makes me think that CAPTAIN JACK is the one hiding the secret, not the Doctor.

According to the books (so take this as you will) after the timelords were destroyed, many other races suddenly found themselves able to develop time travel.

Oh, and magic was also supposed to be more common in our universe.

Don't you think it all ties in with with AM's theory which we all added to a few weeks ago about greed, money, the financiers/consortium and time being the central themes throughout this series.

Where are you AM to remind us?!

Lady Cassandra was fond of having surgery of any description so perhaps she used to be a he before the surgeons got their hands of him.

I can't be certain but I thought Nancy said something about the Doctor's big nose - he pointed to his nose and said it had special powers - then Nancy said "do your ears have special powers too?" Let's he honest, CE's ears aren't exactly titchy

Well, I don;t know about magic, but if the Time Lords were the self-appointed guardians of Time, then it certainly makes sense that their being wiped from existence would cause other races to finally be able to develop it, but then surely paradoxes would start to happen which hadn't happened before.

Which would make that a paradox squared, or a double paradox, or something.

Could this be a bluff that the producers are trying on at this late stage? Capt Jack has already said he is a con man/criminal and a rogue which does make it glaringly obvious so they may be trying to throw us of the scent for the twist that is yet to come...
