Well now you have out it like that...

I only mentioned the interview with RTD in DWM as I thought it was rather interesting that after no mention by him of the Time War for months in his column that he suddenly brought it up again saying there would be the final legacy of the said event by the end of the series. Given that there has been two schools of thought on the subject by various FM's I thought some folk might be interested.

Easiest way is to highlight what you want to hide in the normal way with your mouse, then click the S symbol at the top of the postings window.

Or you can type [ spoiler ] without the spaces inside the brackets, type what you want and then put [ /spoiler ] at the end of it, again without the spaces inside the brackets.

lol, it wasn't that BG, it's just that if you hint that you haven't read or seen something on these forums then you get a deluge of people quoting stuff whether it be true, false or indifferent...I was just trying to avoid the stress that's all

Of course, these days, they keep her warm and comfortable and don't allow her any sharp objects - although strangely enough, I have a terrier-shaped bump in the back of my head

Really? Where'd you hear that? We've discussed that before, and I remember the reaction to the idea was a resounding 'no way!'

All I can say is, episodes 12 and 13 are going to be so action packed there'll be scant room for plot or dialogue

For those of you who are still awake (none of you, if you've got any sense ), there is a film on Channel 4 in 20 minutes with the lovely Doctor in it. Just look at his character's name

Worse than that--his character is also called "Christopher". In any case, the movie is a bit of a stinker.

Yeh, it wasn't great. There was absolutely no point to it whatsoever, except for the cast and crew to go on a little jaunt around Europe. But I was impressed by the little coincidence all the same

Lol - I got the ultimate commeuppance, when after finding my Christmas presents under her bed (fab robots, space games, etc) my Mum then took them ALL back and exchanged them for stuff for school.

I never did that again! (You don't think RTD would....)

Seriously, I think the end of this season is going to be BIG. I think we ain't seen anything yet in terms of CGI - lots of aliens/spaceships/battles - and that'll include a decent regeneration scene.

The regen would make the perfect cliffhanger to keep us salivating for the Christmas special so my money's on that. Like I've said before, if RTD has been so concerned about new viewers and introducing the whole package to them again from scratch, then we must surely be in for a good ol' fashioned regen proper.

Fa.......bulous!

blimey we have been busy bees over night.. plenty for me to catch up on and think about.. thanks for that guys!

i dont buy that RTD thought he could sneak bad wolf under the radar, some of the references have been far too blatant and in these days of dvd recorders, every episode is going to get watched more than once... i think this might have worked if we didnt have instant access to previous episodes but we do, and RTD would give the viewing audience enough credit to know it would be spotted...

however, what if there is another story arc that has gone undetected? looks like im gonna be sitting down on a wet bank holiday monday watching eps 1-10 again! (cant think of a better way to spend it myself!) cos i've got a horrible feeling we've all missed something and are gonna go "oh yeah... wonder why i never spotted that" at the end of the series.. why else would bad wolf be so obvious? other than to detract attention from what is really going on?

Has anybody considered the whole CE leaving thing could be the biggest well constructed red herring in TV history?

Imagine if he isn't really going to leave and RTD got the Beeb and him to 'leak' it so we'd all be expecting him to go at the end of the series. He then persuades DT to pretend and say he's going to be the next Doctor.

Thus creating a huge potential curveball for the end of the series, allowing RTD to have a finale that NO-ONE will speculate on due to the misinformation previously created.

That'd tie in nicely with the theme of the media controlling the truth and what people believe is true.

This is probably just crap but it'd be absolute genius if it were true.

Also, I wish people would stop calling the next series "series 2". There's been many years of series' of DW and the next one certaintly isn't the second!

that would indeed be genius given the media control angle! it's just that kind of thinking outside the box which makes this forum great! and given the way that RTD's mind works, not beyond the realms of possibility

Excellent idea Wizross, and quite a feat if it worked out that way.

Oh, and given the fact that the BBC are calling this new series "series one" it's logical to assume the next one will be classed as series two, isn't it?

Personally, I don't mind how people refer to the new series, whether series 27 or series one, I know what people mean.

Well, luckily I wasn't found out so my lovely Eagle with the detatchable 'prefab' gave me many years enjoyment re-enacting Commander Koenig's adventures...

I think you're right jim, we are going to be in for a real treat for the final two-parter, and since we've been promised the ultimate Who experience, there's no way we would be given that without a proper regeneration sequence. It's such a huge part of the programme (akin to a coronation, I always thought) that anything less would be a grave injustice.

It's just a question of when it's going to happen, I suppose.

I was under the impression from the rumours circulating that it would happen at the end of this series or are they just just that, rumours?
