My guess - as the BBC website description for the final part of DW Confidential says it will cover CE's final bow as The Doctor - is that it'll definitely be at the end of this series. I'm sure it would've been anyway. Wasn't that the intention - to leave us open mouthed and goggle eyed at the end.

Well, from what I'd read both CE and DT had been asked into the studio to film/refilm some scenes, so it would be logical to assume we will have a regeneration then.

But a question arose over the finances and whether there would be anything left to pay the Mill for a proper regen. sequence.

Personally, considering the show has been such a resounding success, I'd like to think that the BBC would be able to find a few more shekels and we would get a regeneration that would do us proud.

Wouldn't it be great if they used one of the old 70's regen effects rather than flashing it up.

Do you think some of the re-shoots involve losing the farting, the rubber suits and reducing the number of opening zips and doing it all CGI? (Well, I can hope!). Without "those elements", AOL and WWIII would have crossed over into the 'excellent' bracket for me.

I am CONVINCED the Slitheen are related to the Daleks somehow - I've tried for days to get a picture on the net, and failed... but I'm still convinced that the ship that hit Big Ben was a Dalek ship from a Cushing film!!!!

And we know RTD has been 'tweaking' the episodes all along, so who knows - maybe he's been dipping into the threads after all?

They listened to us before on the removal of the 'coming next teaser' so they may have listened again!

I'd like to think as an eternal optimist that now we've seen the suits and heard the farts, they won't be necessary (?) in the future as although as I've said before, all the kids (real ones not just over grown ones like us) that I know that saw AOL/WW3 count it among their favourites because of the Slitheen not in spite of them...I come back to my point about the Ferenghi's first episode on "Star Trek: TNG" ... laughable but look how they panned in the end...

You're probably right, but when I first saw it in the trailer for that episode my heart leapt - that's my biggest problem with that ep, just the disapointment of it being a pig in a poke. (No apologies for dreadful pun)

Not sure what you're disagreeing with but hey, the Doctor isn't scary...Romana wasn't that scary...the exillons were damned sweet in the end...and there are varying ways of being scary...one of the biggest complaints about the original Autons was the scene where the policeman driving the police car was revealed as one...even the Met had a quiet word with the production office to point out that children shouldn't be scared of policeman in case there is an emergency and they need to call 999...personally I find the: I'm so grown up and mature I frown on fart gags brigade a little stale and dull...I once witnessed a guy in his thirties destroying a kid of about 8's wide-eyed wonder at Phantom Menace by constantly telling him how bad it was compared to Star Wars and how he sorry he was that the kid wasn't around when Star Wars came out etc. etc. The kid looked crushed.

The point I'm making is that in that episode with the zip head aliens, I didnt really care if dr who stopped them because they were actually a bit less scary than some real MP's
