Vodafone launches the Vodafone Travel Promise (Vodafone Passport)
www.vodafone.com
Introducing The Vodafone Travel Promise Putting you in control of the cost of calling home from abroad Ever thought twice about using your mobile phone when abroad? Thought so. That's why we've introduced the Vodafone Travel Promise. The Vodafone Travel Promise means you can call home at domestic rates - plus a small connection fee for each call. So when you phone home on Vodafone from a Vodafone network almost anywhere in Europe, you'll know what each call is costing. The same goes for receiving calls. You'll only pay the same small connection fee for each call you take, no matter how long you talk. The Vodafone Travel Promise means that when you're abroad, you're in control of the cost of using your phone. And when you get back home, there'll be no nasty surprises waiting on your bill. All you need to do is contact Vodafone and ask for Vodafone Passport, the name for the new price option Press release PDF format. |

About time too! Although a little surprising because one of their biggest money spinners is on roaming rates. I suppose they'll try and get more people to use it this way and get their "connection fee" from each call.
