Garden Divide
josephgall
24-05-2005
From looking at the publicity photos revealed today for the garden and then looking at the aerial shot of the garden from the daily star it would seem that there is some sort of divide in the garden, the waste land that was once used for bb3 has had the walls painted and there was camoflauge over it which would mean there was work being done on it and because it hasn't been shown in the publicity photos I am just wondering would this be part of a garden divide of some sort for the two houses? What do others think?

The walls weren't painted - the orange was already there, under the wood panels from BB3.

But the netting does suggest they were doing something there...it might not be a divide, but something may take place in that bit of garden.

I recall looking at the aerial shot and thinking there might be another bigger swimming pool. And seeing the photos released now the pool that in these would be the smaller one.

What with 2 loos in the house that could suggest a house divide maybe they start out poor

This could just be a change in H&S – 6-25 employees are required to have access to at least 2 toilets (embarrassed I even know this fact )

Or maybe something to do with the HMS always complaining they need to go to the loo, while they are locked in the bedroom?

Could this be an area set asside just for doing tasks to cut down on time spent setting them up.

I hope there isn't another house divide. I may well be a heretic here, but I thought the rich/poor thing in BB3 was a load of crap. The only good thing to come out of it was when Alex won a challenge and decided to leave Uberbint and the noxious Jonny on the poor side. Other than that, I found it pretty boring.

I quite liked the divide, actually. Thought it was a clever innovation and let the housemates bitch about the other side out of earshot!

But I also liked it because it was original. And if there's another divide this year, it won't be as good simply because the original was the best.

I heard that there'll be moving walls. So a big wall might move in between, creating a partition in the house.

OOPS! I just posted that theory in another thread before reading this one I wasn't coppying..honest

It would explain the 2 house/moving walls rumour.

I suspect they aren't sci-fi style moving walls but rather walls that can be moved overnight and so change the house dynamic at the necessary point.

To be " sci fi " moving walls, theyd need to be on rails or something. They could have little coasters in the bottom and have it radio controlled, but could you imagine the hassle?

I still think there is some truth in the 2 house rumours. Someone posted earlier that they had been to a pilot show at Elstree and on the stage there were 2 screens, one above the other, maybe to show both sides of the house?

I wasn't on DS last year, where there lots of rumours like this and did any of them turn out to be true?

The only rumour that wasnt around last year was the one im making up now about the house being a giant space rocket and everyone being blasted to the moon for 10 weeks.

Rumours abound before BB, and carry on into it mostly. I can't remember if any that were posted turned out to be true. It all adds to the spice though eh?

Pfft, they did that in the Norwegian BB.

I'm not too bothered about the rumours as they are part of the build now on the forums.

I also like the speculation and guess work going round about how things in the house will work.

Adds to the suspense of waiting for Friday

While I'm at it ..... didn't someone mention Derren Brown having a connection with the house this year .... I've convinced myself that those 3 showers play like the trick with the 3 cups and a ball and you have to guess which cup the balls under ... I need a life I know

i was just looking at the inside pic of the house (the bit where it shows you the gold door and)one side is blue with rounded mirrors and the other is white with square mirrors.like in bb3.And also the bb3 garden hasnt had anything done to it (there was a pic from the sun of the house from the sky and that bit wasnt covered up (and you can tell it was this years house(befor anybody ask)because it has this year stairs that just go down))

In BB3, there was something on the floor and ceiling that the bars were fitted into - you could see it from day 1. There's nothing like that here.

How do you know, it's not day 1 yet

I can well imagine one of the housemates leaning against a wall in this house only for it to open and close with them disappearing inside very much à la Scooby Doo.

and we'd have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you pesky producers...

Could this ladder in the garden thing lead to the next small garden bit? After reading the new info today and it would seem there is a ladder from the garden goes into a loft, but surely it would be unsafe to have the housemates walk on the roof, so possibly to next garden part?
