Seriously: What were you thinking?

I have looked at the photos even the one conveniently arrowed, but could we not be looking at what are slots being the front of the cover. If the count the lighter areas between the arrowed areas, there are only twelve. You see if you accept the darker areas are the 'slots' then where is the bottom slot go to it is just an empty piece.
