Has there been any gay male contestants in past BB that have not been camp?
I was chatting to a friend earlier who is gay and is a fan of BB and he cannot remember any gay men in previous BB that were not camp. He thinks that it is a shame that BB seem to deliberately go for outrageous, flambouyant gay men because most gay men are not actually camp, but are just normal - as in not trying to be the life of the party all the time.
Perhaps if they have gay people in the series this year, BB should not keep trying to subscribe to stereotypes as stereotyping only serves to deepen prejudices further.

Dan was set up as a gay man who hated campness but he was as camp as you-know-what.

I didn't think Josh was camp - probably why he wasn't chosen for the original line-up...

To me, Jason didn't come across as 'gay' when he let Dan do that. In the beginning Jason wanted to win very badly and be known as the 'fun' one in the BB house (remember, this was the guy who made his debut in a leopard print thong) but it was an act he couldn't keep up and he felt defeated (and to be fair, sometimes justifiably irritated) by the lipstick lot (no, I can't remember what they called themselves) and his true colours soon showed.

Still, at least Dan enjoyed it

On a related but different note, I have just looked at the channel 4 archives and seen piccies of previous contestants. I have seen all BBs and most of those people had been washed away from my mind (thankfully).

What a load of rubbish, and we ripped each other apart for that bunch of eejits?? LOL Can't wait for BB6 to start.

Dan was camp in a very different way to Marco and say, Brian. I don't think Dan would've got on with Brian at all but he would've lusted after Josh in a heartbeat.
