And to Jason too.

Some people just never stop wishing for what they cannot have.

Agree with that statement 100%

We might never know. If they weren't camp and they didn't announce that they were gay, how would we know?

Alex was a good specimen. He was either a straight guy in touch with his feminine side or he was gay/bi reaching to get out.

Well I was thinking really of which men in the house were 'out' but were not camp. But I do not think there were any.

You mean there might well be gay men who aren't 'well groomed' and 'entertaining'?

In that scenario my money would be on both of them launching a huge bitching back-stabbing campaign against each other and trying to oust one another from the house. Nothing else

The very idea !!!!!!

There are different types of camp though aren't there? Marco and Brian are both full-on comedy bitch-queens. Josh, although masculine looking has (to me at least) a rather camp voice. Dan has neither 'the walk' or 'the voice' but appears to use a more outrageous type of camp as entertainment. He also does the whole 'filthy gorgeous' thing to great effect with the make-up etc

Yes I am sorry, I know it might come as a shock, but you know, if we are going to show a cross section of society we need to see the ones who are rough round the edges too

Oh, so it's just me imagining hot steamy shower scenes between them two?

Damn OZ it has warped my tiny little mind.

Think Alex is what's known as a METROsexual

That's fair comment. Can't argue with that.

Think Jade covered that criteria

Dan loves camp. It's screaming queens he can't stand.

There is the whole issue of non-camp gay men though... Ben from Playing It Straight springs to mind "I don't want to be a sissy" boo-hoo!! I think any man that is comfortable with his sexuality can be a bit camp at times. It's natural, obviously not for our Ben though

I cant stand camp, all the over the top girylness, even girls arent as girly as some of the people weve seen, and thats when i get irritated.

I am not so sure. I spent 4 years on the gay scene going to clubs with a couple of gay friends (yeah call me a faghag) and the vast majority of gay men we met (which ran into hundreds) were not camp.
The London Astoria which has the biggest gay nightclub in the country I would say had a ratio of 70:30 non-camp:camp... unless Kylie or Steps were playing there in which case it switched to about 10:90

Ah ok poppitypop, we seem to see "camp" differently. I would say most gays at GAY are quite camp, but of course not, if you compare them to Marco I guess that was your original point as well

I think some people tend to confuse effeminacy and camp don't they?

Yeah maybe my definition of camp was a bit broad.

Talking of effeminacy, I DO seem to recall Tickle's fondness for nail varnish and a over generous application of lipstick in his BB profile photos

Lol, Dan was defiantly camp.

Josh on the other hand could be quite effeminate, but was for the most part, just a normal bloke - but he was a very good contrast to gay men like Brian.

Full on camp queens like Marco (or was that just his BB persona ), really ain’t my cup of tea though.

Saying that though, I do like the odd Kylie choon .

Women can be camp too. Think Narinder, think Penny, think Nadia. Anyone, male or female, who showers in high heels is just about as camp as it's possible to be.
