I have tried to get excited over the adverts, the pictures, the news, but I just think it looks like a load of rubbish. This isn't the Big Brother it used to be, its just BB5 II.

There is nothing wrong with BB5, i enjoyed it, but it was nothing like the old series, it was like a new reality show, which I watched, but didnt like just as much.

Im worried I wont like the new series, anyone else think the same?

Give it a chance, centrino!

Stop worrying about it - sit back, relax, and enjoy the launch

You should wait until you see the housemates, then we'll get a rough idea of what it'll be like.

I sounded really negative in my first post. I know I will enjoy it, like I enjoyed BB5, Its just never going to be like it used to be. Its still a cut above the rest. This is Big Brother though, who knows what they have planned.

It sounds as if you have a touch of first night nerves

Actually I am getting nervous. I am so looking forward to it, what if I hate it / them? i couldn't cope with the disappointment

It's all about the housemates. Pretty obvious but sometimes forgotten. The house could look like a palace, but it would matter not a jot - we thrive on what the HMs get up to.

Last night I watched BB's 'Funniest' Moments. Given that their idea of humour rarely rose above the scatalogical and that I sat stony faced whilst they informed me how entertaining I had found the Lipgloss Bitches (too shouty), Victor's diary room (cringeworthy and tedious) and Stu (mr personality)Wilson (WTF? ) I have grave misgivings about BB6.

I think this is the last big brother, channel 4 are getting so desperate they're even trying to give it away for free on e4. At one time people would pay good money to watch this show but now its a tired and dated format.

When I watched the BB5 launch, I thought 'What a bunch of weirdos!', and was really disappointed. But BB5 was really good! Just wait and see what happens in BB6; I'm sure it'll be great!

I have to disagree. It is STILL the biggest reality show on TV- and it is selling papers (why would it be all over the tabloids if its that bad)

And as for E4 going free- well E4 is a second station to C4, same as ITV2 is to mian ITV station and BBC3 are to BBC1 blah blah (please note that they have been free since digital started)

I can't wait for Friday - to be honest I wasn't all that bothered about BB5, the HMs just didn't excite me at all. But watching BBs best bits this week has really brought back how good past shows have been. Brian in particular stands out as a favourite character. If BB6 can capture the excitment of the earlier shows then for me it will be great summer!

Its hasn't struck you that perhaps the fact they are using BB to spearhead the move of E4 to freeview suggests the exact opposite?

I'm not as excited as I used to be coming up to launch night. BB5 killed that for me I think.
