Theory: Two of the most recent reality winners, who the public voted for in their droves (Steve and Anthony) have both been put on the bench and up for the public vote on consecutive nights. At 50p a vote isn't that in Sky's best financial interests to have potential evictees they know the public will pick up the phone for? Cynical? Moi?? On the other hand, they could have been rubbish, as I know absolutely zilch about actual footballing talent

Not saying this as a Steve fan and I didn't even like Anthony in BB6 but neither Steve nor Anthony are rubbish on the football pitch. There are some iffy footballers in that Celeb team who as much as Graham Taylor denies showing favouritism to, those players are definately getting an edge and deserved to be on that bench more than Anthony or Steve.

I had such a strong feeling that Steve was going to end up on that bench yesterday, that it didn't come as a shock. I also think if Steve gets through this evening it will be by the skin of his teeth as much as I am loathe to admit that, as Graham Taylor has put Steve up against some pretty popular players with the public.

So all we Steve fans can do is vote and hope for the best for Steve

I am sure he will be okay. Steve has a much bigger fan base than the other two. I hadn't even heard of one of them!

I don't know K. I have a really weird feeling about this and reckon Steve might only just scrape through and only stands a chance against Patrick.

I'm not normally miss optimistic as you know, just when they announced it last night me and TOH both thought he would be okay as 1) people watching who are purely watching for the footie would keep him in as he is a good player, and 2) he has a bigger fan base than the other two so will get more votes from his fans than they will.

We may be wrong, here's hoping we are not.

I have voted a few times for Steve. Not a huge fan of his singing but he deserves another chance at football as I feel he is the best player of the three who have been benched. I think he will be safe tonight.

Hope so, watched the match last year and though i'm not a great fan of football did enjoy it. Lot better this year with Steve taking part but was surprised that the number to save him has not been displayed on his os website.

Don't know why Steve was put on the bench.......they showed him as having done really well. I will be voting, but if he goes out, I won't be watching again.

Sorry, but I wasn't surprised in the least that Steve was on the bench.

His attitude was wrong (consider the incident with the breakfast and then going off on a search for bacon rolls)

Phil Tufnell's "crafty cigarettes" haven't had the same effect though have they?

You are entitled to that opinion, but Steve's attitude seems fine to me, better than most of the other's there from what I can gather from watching.

We only see what Sky One want us to see. We don't see what goes on all day with the players and so far what I have seen of Steve has been fine and what has someone's attitude to do with being a good footie player anyway ?

If you have it taped, you should try and rewatch that incident as I am sure it mentioned a few who were after a more filling breakfast, but for some reason they only chose to single Steve out. Also I am sure the Camera crew knew and let them nick a sarnie after all isn't it the camera crew who were filming the incident. They would have stopped Steve there and then if they had said no. That one doesn't need too much thinking about.

Also that incident was from the day before so why should Steve be punished a day later for that ?

It doesn't surprise me Steve is on the bench. My reason being different to yours though, as I see obvious favouritsm going on for some players against others.

Hey everybody, look on the bright side.....at least we'll get to see loads of Steve tonight.

I wasn't impressed by the Newcastle team when they said you know who's playing, someone who won the X Factor and they were all giggling. Lets all take them seriously, a bunch of guys that get paid an extortionate amount of money for kicking a football around w**kers!!

Steve never stood a chance.......he was the show's whipping boy from the start. I saw that comment too Dee....it was Dean Saunders who said it and Keiran Dyer who laughed.....I hope his team mate beats him up on the park again! lol

I won't watch the show again. I've no interest in it.

I foolishly watched it with my husband in the room, he's a footie nut (he didn't think Steve deserved to go either) so he knows it's on now, so I may not have any option Graham Taylor was completely out of order last night, when he said there are some players that deserve to be on the bench, but the public wouldn't like it BTW who was put on the bench last night, I went to bed after Steve's interview?

Patrick again! Phil Tuffnel and another goalie( I can't remember his name) I think Graham put Patrick back there coz he knew he wouldn't get voted out and he said that they didn't need 3 goalies so he put 2 up more or less asking the public to get rid of one of them.
